As a user of software I subjectively agree. :)

In addition, underscores should be replaced by spaces (like in addition_alpha)

Regarding transitions: They were very confusing to me in the beginning. I only
ever used Composite until I realized there's dissolve. Are you sure there are
audio transitions? I don't think there are. I don't understand most effects, so
I couldn't make any category suggestions I'm afraid.
