I assume the smartphones record with variable bit rate and variable frame rate which leads in general to render issues. Workaround: Transcode clips and exchange it in the timeline. I assume you set on each clip in/out point. Click on each clip in the project bin -> right click in the clip monitor the clip –> either "Extract Zone" or "Insert Zone in Project bin" -> If you do latter you have to transcode with "ProRes 422 HQ". In both cases exchange this transcoded clips with the original in the timeline. Yes, this is a huge work.
