[kmail2] [Bug 423794] 'kmail --identity' doesn't set the identity's sent folder
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=423794 --- Comment #3 from Christophe Giboudeaux --- (In reply to m.eik michalke from comment #2) > i do agree that 5.7.3 is pretty old. however, users of widely used distros > like kubuntu 18.04 LTS will continue to run KDE plasma 5.12 LTS and older > versions of kontact for some more years, so it is probably still worth > backporting the patch. > If a distribution chooses to make LTS release with software lagging behind what upstream officially supports, backporting patches is a package maintainer duty. Now that you confirmed the issue is fixed, please open a bug report for your distribution to backport fixes (if possible). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kmail2] [Bug 423794] 'kmail --identity' doesn't set the identity's sent folder
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=423794 --- Comment #2 from m.eik michalke --- i can confirm the problem is also solved in kmail 5.13.3. i do agree that 5.7.3 is pretty old. however, users of widely used distros like kubuntu 18.04 LTS will continue to run KDE plasma 5.12 LTS and older versions of kontact for some more years, so it is probably still worth backporting the patch. that is because storing outgoing mail on a wrong IMAP server can quickly become a serious privacy issue (GDPR), especially if it happens unnoticed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
