[kmail2] [Bug 480984] Composer Broken on Wayland

2024-03-18 Thread Garry Williams
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=480984

I suspect this bug is related to using an external editor instead of the
built-in kmail composer. I have been configured to use vim to compose mail
messages in kmail for years. I notice that when I close the editor, the
composer window is not updated with my edits. If I around to the
composer window again, it now shows the editor session I just closed.

I tested this and confirmed that specifying an external editor introduces this
bug.

OK, I just checked again and the same problem is still there.

I can not reproduce unfortunately. I use Wayland for more than a year and I
never see this issue. Which distribution are you using?
