I've just tested these steps against Plasma from git master and I cannot
reproduce the issue.

Can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug
report can be marked as resolved, thanks.

I forgot to mention step 1.1 - an initial run of kbuildsycoca5 on the reset
menu. This led to no errors. The errors only occured after doing the first
change to the menu structure as described in steps 2ff.
