This bug has had its resolution changed, but accidentally has been left in
NEEDSINFO status. I am thus closing this bug and setting the status as RESOLVED
to reflect the resolution change.

No... The goal is to improve it a lot, but that needs someone to work on it.
You can improve it if you want, but it isn't so broken that it needs to be
removed.

In any case, removing something is a simple matter of git rm + the editing of a
single cmakelists.txt, not something that is "work".

The artistic color selector is currently unmaintained, I'm afraid. As long as
it doesn't break, we won't remove it, but we don't have anyone who wants to
work on it.
