After commits 769fdd467fc66f408410f8b6e1ead8d04dc51432 and
f566a8023cba382e4fc7f866b494684964cf7be7 , I am no longer able to reproduce the
issue that I reopened this bug for.
I think that this was likely the same issue that Jörn PM mentioned in comments
7 and 11, so I'll mark this as fixed.

Tested with latest git and it looks like the issue is gone. However, I still
cannot open a second window once a document is opened.

This still doesn't seem to be working right as of
bc0aad9f0e5b6db720a0ffb146c9eadef317e022 (master) and
cb1c9f45a33358de7eee6801ac50f9e4d6761b8a (krita/3.1). If you're having any
trouble reproducing it from the hang steps in bug 374496, please note that you
need to be using a tablet to draw on the canvas at step 3 -- the mouse alone
doesn't trigger it.

The "hang" set of steps I gave in bug 374496 (more or less the same as Jörn
PM's steps in comment 7) still manages to reproduce this bug as of the current
Git master.
This time around, the "Group not editable" message doesn't show up, but drawing
becomes impossible.
Also, at step 4 of my instructions, Krita now shows "Waiting for image
operation to complete..."

Also happens consistently with current build from git on Ubuntu 16.10.

First, I have to open the new window before I open or create any new document,
otherwise nothing happens at all if I click open new window (or view), with no
errors given.

If I open the new window first and then open a document, I get the "group not
editable" message. I do not even have to create a new view into the document
for this to happen.

Also, I cannot create or delete any new layers after opening the new window. It
will work again after closing the second window.

Then I think that there must be something going on as well, because with just
the steps mentioned, I just cannot reproduce the issue.

Yeah, it happens every time. But sometimes it takes some time to happen.

My version of Krita is the 3.0 git (f0cbffc)
I use Windows 10 64.

And sorry for anything mistaken cause english is not my main language.

Hi Mattheus,

Can you reliably reproduce this issue? I've tried on Windows 10, Linux and OSX
and I haven't been able to reproduce the issue.
