I will try the reset configuration option.

Nothing changed on my system. I hope its not a virus.

Hm, and did you update Krita, or did something else change on your system?
Maybe you could try to reset Krita's configuration?

I have been using Krita for about a year. in the last week or so it is very
unstable. I have tried loading the latest version but the same thing.

It freezes and says not responding when saving, merging layers, rotating
image.

I have been a big fan of Krita but getting very frustrated.
