Yeah, maybe the temporary items folder isn't really the best place for backups, as it is cleaned on logout and startup /shutdown. I use it often for temporary stuff, a backup is temporary until it isn't saved intentionally, this was my logic. Saving to temporary folder is not safe, because temporary folder is cleaned up by the OS regularly.
