Recently (unfortunately) I got to see that Krusader is still persistent at showing notifications as the infamous RDNA2 VCN hanging bug brought down most of my desktop environment, so Krusader started opening progress windows without being able to show native notifications, so I think the feature is all right. I don't think I can close bugs, possibly you as the bug opener can do it though. That 4.14.8 Plasma version is suspiciously way too old for even 2022, and with the more appropriate 5.x versions I haven't seen such issues even back in 2022 on multiple hosts.
