I'm really missing this (coming from xmonad to KDE in order to use the same
stuff as the rest of the company) - virtual desktops are so much less usable
with dual screen with the kwin behavior (for me).

Hm, unfortunately, this doesn't exist anymore. @Josep: Do you have a clone of
the repo or a new link by accident?
