I was trying to follow the instructions to create a backtrace of the crash here

https://community.kde.org/Bugsquad/Basic_Guide_about_Crash_Reporting

and I installed the debug package for kwin but I don't see any KDE crash
handler dialog even when I reproduce the crash. 

Is there some other way I can get the backtrace?
