Bug ID: 435487 Summary: GTK applications with giant borders around the window Product: kwin Version: 5.21.4 Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: kde.milr...@8shield.net Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I have been having this problem seemingly randomly, sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't, and I finally got a way to reproduce it. It has also been reported in the reddit community. However the author apparently didn't create an issue here. https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/mb5tdi/what_are_these_borders_they_only_appear_on_gtk/ STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1. Disable the title bar in firefox (hamburger menu -> customization -> title bar checkbox, at the bottom of the window) 2. Create a kwin rule for the firefox window and under Appearance and fixes select "No title bar and frame". Set the Force option and check "No". 3. Open firefox Although I tested in firefox, this worked in every GTK application I have installed.
