The same issue, but with standart minimize effect. Windows like dolphin and
systemsettings are minimizing to the center of screen, not to panel. Archlinux,
plasma 5.7.1.

Good and bad xprops

I outsmarted myself, sorry. Thought icons are not relevant thus i omitted them.
I uploaded archive with two (full) xprop logs of firefox and thunderbird.
Curiously this time firefox behaves correctly while thunderbird gets minimized
to closest edge.

Do you have any more steps to reproduce? We need to nail down the circumstances
in which it doesn't get set (it's not a general problem).

The xprop output does not have an icon geometry set. From KWin side the
behavior is correct then. It doesn't know where to minimize to.

Reassigning to Plasma for investigating why the icon geometry doesn't get set.
