Me neither in Kubuntu 17.10 with Plasma 5.12.2, or Neon dev unstable. Yannick,
if you can reproduce this with newer software, please re-open.

Something else: it seems to happen on the tasks that are on the left of the
Dolphin tasks.

I did some further testing, and I think the issue only happens when "Show only
tasks from the current desktop" is disabled.

I made several file transfers to an USB drive with this option enabled, and I
couldn't reproduce the issue.
As soon as I disabled this option, the badges appeared on the wrong tasks
again.
