People don't know what problem you're having, so they have no way to gauge whether the solution would actually fix the problem or not. And in this case, it wouldn't. :) The current design is the intended appearance. We deliberately wanted to make its margins more compact, to match the compact margins used everywhere else. I really have issues with the current size. The padding between icons are too low, kickoff size is too small, texts are compact, etc. Let me show the difference between the new kickoff and the previous version of it on my desktop.
