Bug ID: 448367 Summary: Duplicate emojis have a clone with the Variation Selector (U+FE0F), but an unclear "E0.6" tooltip Product: plasmashell Version: master Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Emoji Selector Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: ddascalescu+...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 145407 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=145407&action=edit Duplicate arrows SUMMARY Many emojis from the Emoji Selector appear to have two variants, and it's not at all clear for the non-Unicode-technical user what the difference is (I had to use a text viewer and dig into posts like https://stackoverflow.com/questions/38100329/what-does-u-ufe0f-in-an-emoji-mean-is-it-the-same-if-i-delete-it to understand the difference). Mousing over them only shows "E0.6" in front the emoji's name. How is the user supposed to pick one? Why do both exist? Can they be better differentiated?
