Thanks for investigating. Looks like it's a font issue. Let us know if you can
gather more evidence that this is on our side (e.g. that we're not handling
certain fonts correctly). Until then, marking this as RESOLVED UPSTREAM.

Alright, it seems that this happens with some fonts only.
I was using Droid Naskh Arabic UI when I filed this bug.
Right now I'm using another font (Mada) which is a bit new, and the sidebar is
showing things correctly.
Even with Noto Arabic Naskh it's shown correctly.
Not sure what could be the problem with Droid Naskh, should investigate later
on.
