In KHotKeys we could add custom shortcuts to execute user defined dbus
commands.
As pointed out by Nate Graham in https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=455444
KHotKeys module is going to retire and already disabled in Wayland session.
It would be great to have something similar in kcm_keys module's UI instead of
using script files.
