[dolphin] [Bug 411810] New: Add an option to edit ID3 tags from Dolphin

2019-09-11 Thread mthw0
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411810

Bug ID: 411810
Summary: Add an option to edit ID3 tags from Dolphin
   Product: dolphin
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: matejm98m...@gmail.com

SUMMARY
...like Windows Explorer does. Dolphin already shows this info, so it might be
enough to change the text labels for some kind of editable fields, add some
logic and an "Apply" button.

This bug might actually belong somehere else, e.g. Baloo.

[dolphin] [Bug 411812] New: Dolphin Segmentation Fault after moving file to mounted Samba directory

2019-09-11 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411812

Bug ID: 411812
Summary: Dolphin Segmentation Fault after moving file to
mounted Samba directory
   Product: dolphin
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Mint (Ubuntu based)
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: e...@null821.de
CC: elvis.angelac...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: dolphin (16.04.3)

Qt Version: 5.6.1
Frameworks Version: 5.36.0
Operating System: Linux 4.10.0-35-generic x86_64
Distribution: Linux Mint 18.2 Sonya

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I moved a file from my local filesystem to a mounted Samba directory. After
move operation was completed i got an error popup with some text like: "Access
denied on /PATH/TO/MOUNTED/SAMBA/DIRECTORY/MOVED-FILENAME" and with two
options, Cancel and Retry.
If i click on Retry the same error popup opens again.
And after a click on Cancel Dolphin crashes.

The move operation per se is completed successfully (the file does not exist
anymore on my local filesystem and the file exists in the Samba directory)

This behaviour can be reproduced every time i try to move a file to the mounted
Samba directory.

Copy operation works like a charm, just the move operation is broken somehow.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

[digikam] [Bug 411763] When I enter in "Tags" tab in "No tags" mode, the program is crashing every time

2019-09-11 Thread Maik Qualmann
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411763

Ok, problem is clear. It crashes in the PNG loader. It jumps into the
msvcrt.dll with an exception. This is a compiler error. We can not fix it right
now. Why it does not crash in digiKam-6.1.0 is a bit surprising to me now.
Remove the faulty "Imagini despre imagini.png" file. Alternatively, you could
also use the 32-bit digiKam Windows version, it would not crash.

Fix a crash when loading JPEG image with a weird color profile

The profile in question has a weird RGB->XYZ transformation matrix,
which is not invertible. Therefore, this profile cannot be used as
a workspace color profile and we should convert the image to sRGB
right on loading.

LCMS doesn't have a separate method for checking if conversion matrix
is invertible, therefore we just try to create a simple transformation,
where the profile is both, input and output. If the transformation
is created successfully, then this profile is probably suitable for
usage as a working color space.

[akregator] [Bug 411814] New: Option to not fetch enclosures

2019-09-11 Thread Olivier
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411814

Bug ID: 411814
Summary: Option to not fetch enclosures
   Product: akregator
   Version: 5.12.1
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: u-xoo5v...@hah0ahju.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

Hi,

Would it be possible to have an option to not fetch enclosures? It's a privacy
issue for me.

I like using rss to read my content because it reduces the tracking surface :
one may know which feeds I fetch, but not when/if I read articles from them.

But automatically fetching enclosure on read allows just that : it leaks what I
read, at the exact time that I read it. I've seen at least one occurrence of a
feed using a hash param in the enclosure url, possibly for tracking (it's
cointelegraph.com).

It would be nice if there was at least an option to disable that behavior.

Thanks.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. find a feed with enclosures
2. open an article while connected to the internet : the enclosure is displayed
3. open an other article after disconnecting from the internet : the enclosure
is not displayed

OBSERVED RESULT

Akregator seems to fetch enclosure when displaying the rss item.

EXPECTED RESULT

Reading feed items (just the feed content, not opening related article in
browser) should not issue trackable requests.

[plasma-pass] [Bug 411815] New: Password filtering extremely slow

2019-09-11 Thread Florian Lindner
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411815

Bug ID: 411815
   Summary: Password filtering extremely slow
   Product: plasma-pass
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: General
  Assignee: dvra...@kde.org
  Reporter: florian.lind...@xgm.de
  Target Milestone: ---

Hello,

I have about 160 passwords stored (output of `find . -name "*.gpg" | wc -l` in
`.password-store`). Before I changed back to KDE, I used pass from i3 using
passmenu (dmenu based). Filtering passwords was extremely fast and without
noticeable delay.

With plasma-pass, on the other hand, there is a significant delay as I type.
Typing in three letters, that return 9 results takes ~4 seconds until the list
is filtered.

For me, that seriously impacts usability, especially because my password store
continues to grow larger.

Thanks!

   Product: krita
   Version: 4.2.6
  Platform: Other
OS: MS Windows
Status: REPORTED

  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org

SUMMARY
Not possible to pick color from reference image from color picker inside tools

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a Krita document
2. Add a reference image
3. Open color selector in "brushes and stuff" toolbar
4. Pick a color from the previously added reference image

OBSERVED RESULT
Krita picks color below reference image. If outside canvas doesn't pick any.

EXPECTED RESULT
Krita picks desired color

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Can also be reproduced from the color picker inside svg text tool, so I'm
assuming is an oversight in built-in color pickers.

This is not an application bug. None of the fonts you have installed contains
glyphs for these symbols. This is not surprising, since the assignment in
Unicode is recent and font authors need time to catch up. Remedy: install a
font that contains them, e.g. Symbola 12.

Every time I click on an update notifications, Discover crashes. Every time I
open in the launcher the menu also crashes. Even every time I open it in the

$ plasma-discover
KCrash: Application 'plasma-discover' crashing...

I have updated all packages through zypper dup but Discover is still crashes.
I am trying to disable all the opensuse repositories that are still crashes.

SUMMARY
Font size can be choosen for plot title and text labels as for axis labels, but
this choice seems to have no effect when exporting to SVG.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add text label to xy-plot
2. Export plot to SVG
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
Worksheet is 15x15 cm while editing. Default font MS Shell Dlg 2 and font size
10 is used. Export to SVG and scale to 8x8 cm in Word document. Axis labels
look proportional. Plot title and text labels are too small. Tried to increase
font in worksheet but it made no difference.

EXPECTED RESULT
Plot title and text labels should keep their propotional size when exported
from worksheet to SVG (WYSIWYG).

I can confirm that this may be wider issue as I noticed that for some time (a
month) NetworkManager stopped saving my password.
There is no entry in KWallet (wifi passwords are saved normally).
I don't use a VPN (openconnect) with GROUP line. Only passcode to the key and
username with password. The same as for others only the username is saved.
I also noticed that adding a new vpn doesn't help (with different name).
OpenVPN is affected for me as well, because secrets provided during connection
creation are lost after saving this new connection (just empty boxes are
shown). Can't test connection as I don't have any working OpenVPN connections.

I am not aware of any difference in the source code between the Steam version
and the free version. I guess it is possible there is a Steam layer that is
doing some communication that is slowing something down a bit.

Not sure if there is much we can do with this report.

It appears your brushes are just filtered down, so you only see a few of them.
Can you take a screenshot of what your Brush presets docker looks like that
only has the 3 brushes?

Does setting the drop-down to "All" still only show 3 brushes?

Created attachment 122599

visual explanation

Um... Looking back, I feel that maybe there was a miscommunication.

What I meant by '1 action' is NOT 'doing the transforming movement multiple
times and applying it'.
What I meant by '1 action' is : 'pressing the enter key to complete a single
transformation multiple times'.

I'm sorry if that doesn't make any difference to you. :/

[Folder View] Add subtle shadows to icons

Summary:
Folder View items currently have shadows behind their labels, but not their
icons.

This patch adds a very subtle shadow for the icons as well, which improves
contrast
for some backgrounds and just looks classy IMO. :)

SUMMARY
For saving an email as an .mbox file, the File -> Save As option and the
right-click context menu Save As option do not show KIO remote folders in the
Save As Dialog Box. This functionality exists for the "Save Attachments"
command.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select an email message in the message list
2. Go to File -> Save As
3. When Save As dialog box appears, notice all bookmarked KIO remote folders
are not visible in the side column.

OBSERVED RESULT
No bookmarked remote KIO folders are in the Places side column.

EXPECTED RESULT
Bookmarked remote KIO folders should be visible in the Places side column,
match the functionality of the "Save Attachments" dialog box.

I don't see this in the 4.2.6 beta-1 version on Windows 10.
The pattern scale change works fine but is difficult to see because the pattern
is quite smooth and random and the brush tip is heavily textured.

In your attached .gif, there is no visible painting at all. Did that brush
paint properly after a restart and with a dark colour selected?

This does not happen if you save and close the text editor before adding the

text, e.g. "bankovnictví" first becomes "bankovnictví" and
"bankovnictvÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ" after a couple of restarts.

Does Konsole gives you the prompt again? Or it blocks waiting for Krusader to
start - which it doesn't.

Can you start Krusader on another user or without the file ~/.config/krusaderrc
and the folder ~/.local/share/krusader - Remember to make a backup copy.

Git commit a9b8a3a1fa2beca232710a37b4cf9dc6284a4ff8 by Dmitry Kazakov.
Committed on 11/09/2019 at 17:14.
Pushed by dkazakov into branch 'kazakov/convert-image-color-space-in-strokes'.

Fix random crashes when converting image color space

The patch basically ports image color space conversion into strokes
system. The crash happened becasue updates were initiated right when
the visitor was changing layers. With the strokes, this problem should
be resolved.

The patch also changed UIX: now 'Image->Properties->Color Space'
changes the entire color space of the image, but not only color space
of the root node (projection).

I can confirm that the patch D23669.diff to force the mipmaps works very well.
The fonts are no longer pixelated. I've attached a before and after, they could
be less blurry, but you can clearly see that the fonts are now significantly
better.

[frameworks-kio] [Bug 411354] Be able to copy/move files and keep their original time/date stamp

2019-09-11 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411354

--- Comment #3 from ponchorat1...@hotmail.com ---
I'm sorry, I believe I must have been having a blonde moment.
It does keep the dtae/time of original file, I was seeing the date/time of the
file as it was being copied and that uses the current date/time and then at the
end of the transfer, it puts the original date/time stamp.
I realised this when copying some more dashcam files to my comp.

This can be closed

Sorry peeps.

I'm getting the feeling that this is related to how the Media Player plasmoid
handles multiple MPRIS data sources. Moving there for further comment.
