[dolphin] [Bug 413870] Wrong git status determination
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413870 Elvis Angelaccio changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |FIXED Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED Latest Commit||https://commits.kde.org/dol ||phin-plugins/2cf2d4d02912dd ||6e285350b30f00f24eb092ad9c Version Fixed In||19.11.80 --- Comment #2 from Elvis Angelaccio --- Git commit 2cf2d4d02912dd6e285350b30f00f24eb092ad9c by Elvis Angelaccio, on behalf of Maciej Dems. Committed on 10/11/2019 at 21:16. Pushed by elvisangelaccio into branch 'release/19.12'. Fixed git status retrieval splitting entries Summary: Sometimes, for large repositories the status is messed up (which in unlucky case causes `Commit..` command to disappear). The reason for this is that `FileViewGitPlugin::beginRetrieval` method cannot correctly parse the `git status` output. The reason for this is that `FileViewGitPlugin::readUntilZeroChar` does not return complete entry, because it is not provided fast enough. The idea of this patch is to allow the `FileViewGitPlugin::readUntilZeroChar` to wait for the remaining data. Test Plan: The bug depends on the race condition between the plugin code and executed `git` code. Hence it is hard to test. To fake the issue make fake git process that pauses mid entry. In such case the loop in `FileViewGitPlugin::beginRetrieval` should parse eg: !! ABCDEFGH\0x00 Instead it gets: !! AB\0x00 CDEFGH\0x00 which results in two entries for non-existent files. The patch solves this issue. If you select Transfer as the type of transaction, the first field is still a Payee (which is often not filled in for a transfer) and the second field is the account to transfer to or from. In this case, the dropdown to the left of the payee lets you select whether you are transferring TO or FROM the account specified in the second field. [krita] [Bug 414021] New: Krita sometimes resets workspace to default after relaunch and corrupts project & autosave files
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414021 Bug ID: 414021 Summary: Krita sometimes resets workspace to default after relaunch and corrupts project & autosave files Product: krita Version: 4.2.7.1 Platform: MS Windows OS: MS Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: grave Priority: NOR Component: General Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: jinnero...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 123836 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=123836=edit Help>System information for Bug Reports SUM: I think from version 4.x.x I started having this bug that would reset krita to default state after relaunch. Last two times this also corrupted project files and once with autosave. REPRODUCING: It only happened after I closed the krita normally, by closing the programm window after saving the project, and came back to work the next day after I turned on the laptop and launched krita. I'm almost sure it would only happen after I restart windows, and I very often turn off the laptop by holding down the power button which can be the cause but this bug never happened before I moved to version 4.x.x I also checked the crashlog and it doesn't seem like the krita crashes when this bug occurs. OBSERVED RESULT: After launching krita the next day I'd see the programm in pretty much it's default state. Workspace is set to default, no history of recent projects, my brush tags are lost, although I could solve it just by loading up my workspace presets and re-tagging the brushes as pretty much everything else stayed the same. But the last two times it happened in addition to workspace reset the last save project files got corrupted, and once with autosave not being able to load too. Today same thing happened but thank god the autosave remained intact. EXPECTED RESULT: I just wanted to not lose my workspace and project files on krita launch. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 64-bit windows 10 home single language version 1903 build 18362.418 Krita: 4.2.7.1 Hardware info from Help>System information for Bug Reports: GPU Acceleration: auto Memory: 7068 Mb Number of Cores: 4 Swap Location: C:/Users/Potts_/AppData/Local/Temp one screen ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I'll attach the full text from Help>System information for Bug Reports as well as all the corrupted files because of this bug. I always work with default color model and channel depth (RGB/Alpha, depth: 8-bit integer/channel) and the last project had resolution of 1200x1500 with 100 ppi, and I think the previous corrupted file had very similiar resolution. This thing when it happens completely ruins my day, I don't want to draw with the fear of losing all of my progress. I love krita and I'll continiue using it but probably will start making manual back-up files. [digikam] [Bug 303239] GROUP : grouped images are found, but do not show in searches
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=303239 --- Comment #8 from MarcP --- I am not sure. I mostly used grouping to group duplicated, very similar, or edited version of the same picture, often in different directories. The problem with that is that pictures not on the top of the stack (the "master") are hidden in their respective directories. But the same problem occurs in the Tag panel (among others). Ideally, all pictures in a stack should be displayed in all directories, regardless of which one is the master (or maybe any grouped picture in a given directory should be the master of his own stack?). I'm not sure if any of that makes sense because I don't know how it works internally. Between the two options you propose, I'd lean towards the latter. It's in the album view where grouping is more useful, and also where it can cause more inconvenience when pictures are hidden. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Kubuntu 19.10 is based on: Plasma: 5.16.5 Qt: 5.12.4 This bug is reported as fixed in 5.16.2 and Qt 5.12.4. I checked git history and I don't see Erik's commit in Qt 5.12.4 branch: https://github.com/qt/qtbase/blob/5.12.4/src/plugins/platforms/xcb/gl_integrations/xcb_glx/qglxintegration.cpp. Qt 5.12.5 instead seems to include it: https://github.com/qt/qtbase/blob/5.12.5/src/plugins/platforms/xcb/gl_integrations/xcb_glx/qglxintegration.cpp. I applied Erik's patch to Qt again and problem seems fixed so far. Probably we just need to fix the field "Version Fixed In"? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
