If I select one or two RAW images for processing all works OK.

But after getting the "queue" setup, I selected approx 100 RAW images for

Sometimes it has processed approx 50 photographs before crashing, last run only

Here is the output from the terminal. I don't know where there is a core dump

[plasma-pa] [Bug 417561] Audio source selector in Plasma's audio volume applet is illegible with Oxygen theme

I can confirm that other QML comboboxes in the dekstop configuration are not
affected, in my case it seems to be reduced to the audio volume applet.

In my case the pin is not invisible, but the combobox in the media selection
applet is affected. Does that mean that the bug is in the system tray applets?

Nate, you are free to make the window larger than 600 pix on initial open. What
we usually reject is creating user interfaces that have a minimumSize that
demands a larger size. We have scrollbars to handle small screens, and if the
window needs more room, it will automatically use these.

You run the AppImage. From the console, pass "debug" as argument. This will
start digiKam in debugger. When it crash you will get a prompt, where just
entry "bt" for backtrace.

I tried to eject a blu-ray disc. I had opened it in VLC media player and tried
to eject it immediatly after closing VLC. Dolphin crashed (and the disc was not

The disc was still spinning at that moment. When waiting some time (until the

[frameworks-plasma] [Bug 417894] New: Blurry Plasma Components Buttons when position is fractional

2020-02-19 Thread gvgeo
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417894

Bug ID: 417894
Summary: Blurry Plasma Components Buttons when position is
fractional
   Product: frameworks-plasma
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: components
  Assignee: notm...@gmail.com
  Reporter: gv...@protonmail.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Plasma Components Buttons can take fractional position(e.g. after text). They
should always place their icons in a real position for clear display.

More info with photos and a simple test.qml
https://phabricator.kde.org/D27083#614050
It is possible that more elements have the same problem, like Busy Indicator.

Reproduce:
Place any button with a fractional position.
Observed result:
Svg, placed in a fractional position, which leads to blurry view.
Expected result:
Svg always take real position.

My Season of KDE project half fixed this, the Lab colorspace should be working
properly now. (Although, the integer version still uses the ranges Elle
mentions.)

I could dig a bit and see if I can map the integer UX to the [0-100] range.

Argh you guys are killing me lol!

I could go up to `implicitHeight: Kirigami.Units.gridUnit * 34` (up from 33),
but then the default height would be taller then 600px which would make the
bottom button row cut off on some old crappy netbook screens. But maybe we
could ignore those?

Or maybe we could just give up on kcmshell and fix this whole dang class of bug
once and for all by just opening System Settings itself (Bug 402790).

Several problems here:
1. There is no appropriate colorful app icon in the Breeze icon theme for
DrKonqi
2. DrKonqi is therefore using the `tools-report-bug` action icon as its app
icon
3. The task switcher does not seem to be able to invoke the color-changing
property of the icon (not sure if this is a valid issue though because apps
should be using proper colorful app icons, not monochrome action icons).

Let's get DrKonqi a proper icon.

It is entirely possible to remove a widget by rogue clicks. Anyone with
Parkinson's Disease or essential tremor (similar effect to Parkinson's) does
not have full control of motor action. So it doesn't take much to accidentally
evoke customize layout and drag something or remove widgets. One right click,
slight movement of mouse and left click, all of which can happen involuntarily.

Please don't dismiss this feedback off-hat.

[lattedock] [Bug 417886] New: Sharing layouts dont work

2020-02-19 Thread Recesvintvs
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417886

Bug ID: 417886
   Summary: Sharing layouts dont work
   Product: lattedock
   Version: 0.9.8.1
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: application
  Assignee: mvourla...@gmail.com
  Reporter: colabor...@pseudoname.io
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

Sharing a layout to have a common dock for all activities dont work. The shared
layout just becomes empty.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

To be sure that it was not some malfunction in my user's configuration, I
created a new user and started a fresh Plasma session.

1. Launch latte/dock
2. Restart session so the Default layout appears among the available layouts
(it doesn't until I relog in)*
3. Create two new activities.
4. Create two new layouts, without anything special, I just followed the
default steps and dafault values in the default Layouts->Configure dialog
window, and apply the changes.
5. Switch from the Default layout to one of the new layouts -lets call it "New
Layout 1"-.
6. Add a new dock in that New Layout 1. This dock will be present in all the
activities.
7. Go back to the Configure layout window and tell that New Layout 1 is applied
only to the activity, lets call it, "New Activity 1". Apply the changes.
8. The recently created dock is, unexpectedly, still present in all the
activities, so, restart Plasma session so changes are applied.
9. Now the dock that belongs to New Layout 1 that is assigned to New Activity 1
only stands in the correct activity and not in the rest. Ok, so far so good
with just minor annoyances.
10. Now switch to the Default layout if you are not there already.
11. Create a new dock, and to make it better identifiable for this test, place
it at the top border of the screen, or one side or do whatever you want to not
confuse it with the other dock created before.
12. Open the layouts configuration tool and activate the «Multiple» thing. Then
click to mark the Default layout and then click on the button to share it and
select New Activity 1 and New Activity 2 and all the new test activities you
want to test the sharing feature. Apply and rstart session to apply changes.

OBSERVED RESULT

Once I relog in, the Default layout dock, that one that should stand at the top
border, has disappeared. Instead of being present in all the activities it isnt
present in any, not even the Default activity where I created it. The other
layouts are ok, only the shared one is missing

EXPECTED RESULT

The layout should be sared with the other activities so there should be a
common dock for all of them.

Plasma 5.18.1, KF 5.67 on Gentoo no multilib (64 bits libraries only)

As an appendix, I'd add that:
a) If I try and reopen the layouts config windows, and go back to single mode,
and even I especifically set that the Default layout be only applied to the
Default activity, nothing changes even restarting the session. It seems that
the docks I could have created for that layout were just vanished.
b) So, I tried and reshare the Default layout with the other two, and added a
new dock for that Default layout, that is once again sahred with the other
manually created layouts. But the new dock is now only prsent in the Default
layout/activity, also after restarting session, like if the share button didnt
have any effect.

---
* Shouldn't be a warning message to advise the users that they must restart the
session to apply the changes?

BTW, when using Multiple layouts and switching activities, the screen message
"Switching to NameofActivity" doesnt appear anymore. Don't know if this is an
intended behavior or a bug. If it's intended, I think that changing bahavior is
confusing.

Okay, so it doesn't happen booting with neon-user-20200213-1120.iso. I don't
know what is causing this but it's not theme related because it happens on
manjaro with Breeze Light in use too as already explained.

I've tried setting the same hardware options and compositor options with Neon.
The only difference would be kernel and module versions, Xorg and mesa builds.

Either way, I don't expect you to be able to resolve this. I'll close it as
RESOLVED but if you are able to change the status to NOTABUG or CLOSEDWONTFIX
feel free to. Sorry for the wasted time, irritating for all of us...

SUMMARY
Tested using wayland:
If i have taskmanager set to show windows from all virtual desktops, and I have
for example a window on virtual desktop 1 ( VD1 ) and I am on VD2 and click on
that same window entry, the following happens:

* if the window is minimized, it will copy the window to current VD2 ( the
window is now on VD1 and VD2.
* if the window is not minimized, the desktop will switch to VD1 and activate
the window ( window is only on VD1, which i think its the correct ).

hope it is clear, thanks !

2020-02-19 Thread Recesvintvs

Bug ID: 417889
Summary: Exiting user session leaves user processes running

   Version: 5.18.1
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: colabor...@pseudoname.io
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

If I start a session with one user, do some activity and then close the
session, and then I start a new session with a different user, I can see, in
htop, several instances of the process "agent" that belong to the former user,
and which path is /usr/libexec/geoclue-2.0/demos/. By the name I guess it has
to do with geolocation, which I have not activated for that user (not sure if
for any), so I guess it must come active by default. I don't think that's a
nice privacy policy even in Linux and KDE dont have backdoors.
Ok, let's center and not divagate too much... The point is that I believe that
one user's processes should be shut down, or killed if they refuse to terminate
gracefully, once the user logs out.

There have been similar reports even since 10 years ago, but I'm not sure if
those are exactly like this one. In one, it seemed related to encryption or
Akonadi; in the other, affected the login process; this one I report doesnt
seem to produce any malfunction in anything (the processes just "sit" there
wasting resources). but if you consider this is a duplicate, feel free to mark
it as such, but then please reopen the one that says it's resolved/fixed.

The mentioned reports are these:

[trojita] [Bug 417756] IMAP reply could not be parsed, connection gone.

2020-02-19 Thread Dimitrios Apostolou
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417756

Coming from Bug 417876, are we sure this is happening because of problems on
the server side? Microsoft says it supports IMAP [1] and colleagues of mine are
using Thunderbird without any problems. Additionally I couldn't find anywhere
mentioning that office365 has problems with pipelining. Therefore I have to ask
here first, before hitting the Microsoft forums.

[1]
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/clients-and-mobile-in-exchange-online/pop3-and-imap4/pop3-and-imap4

I only found one article [2] that suggests to only have only one IMAP
connection open at any time. Does Trojita open more than one connection? Is
this configurable?

[2] https://uit.stanford.edu/service/office365/configure/thunderbird

Finally, are we sure that we are not hitting some of the spec details of the
IMAP protocol? For example "commands which break command pipelining must wait
for a completion result response" or "STATUS must not be used to check for new
messages in the selected mailbox" ?

There is such a notification, but Plasma suppresses it for very short transfers
(otherwise you'd get tons of notifications for simple file stuff in Dolphin).
What we need is a way to tell Plasma to always show such a notification in our
case, which is something we've discussed but not yet implemented

[plasma-pa] [Bug 417901] New: Feature: Make bluetooth audio device play/capture all on connect

2020-02-19 Thread Michael J. Ryan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417901

Bug ID: 417901
Summary: Feature: Make bluetooth audio device play/capture all
on connect
   Product: plasma-pa
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: kcm
  Assignee: now...@gmail.com
  Reporter: track...@gmail.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

When turning on my bluetooth headset, I then have to go into the volume panel
and next to the output and capture, click the device menu and select "Play all
audio via this device" then do the same for the capture section.

It would seem that upon connecting a bluetooth audio device, that it should now
be the single playback device, and if capture is supported, should now be the
single capture device.

It is a pretty big annoyance when answering a work chat/call on my computer and
putting/turning on my headset. Especially since while I'm fumbling through the
volume tray, the call audio is often blaring out of my speakers.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Turn on paired bluetooth headset

OBSERVED RESULT

Audio continues to play out via speakers and not the headset
Audio does not capture via the headset

EXPECTED RESULT

Audio plays and captures via the headset only, without having to access the
volume tray/panel

I finally got it to work. I haven't found out the reason why the call to listen
fails with EOPNOTSUPP, but I changed the code of both kwallet-pam and kwalletd
to use a named pipe to pass the environment variables. Hence there is no call
to listen any more. I don't know if this is a real solution because it's not
clear to me why the developers decided to use a socket instead of a pipe, but
maybe there is some reason I don't see. Anyway here are the diffs:
