[plasmashell] [Bug 442932] New: Everything but the all applications section in kickoff will use grid view when that option is turned on.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=442932 Bug ID: 442932 Summary: Everything but the all applications section in kickoff will use grid view when that option is turned on. Product: plasmashell Version: git-master Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Application Launcher (Kickoff) Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Reporter: dashonww...@pm.me CC: mikel5...@gmail.com, plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY I was using kdeneon unstable in a virtual machine. I like to fire it up every other day to test things and I noticed that there was an option in kickoff to use grid view essentially everywhere. However, the all applications section seems to be the only one that is different. I didn't know whether this was intentional or not. Hence, this bug report. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Change "Show other applications" to the "in a Grid" setting. 2. Hover over every section one by one. OBSERVED RESULT Every section but "All applications" has grid view. EXPECTED RESULT All sections including "All applications" are shown in a grid view. [frameworks-ktexteditor] [Bug 435372] [Regression] Unable to set fonts in color schemas
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435372 Jan Paul Batrina changed: What|Removed |Added CC||jpmbatrin...@gmail.com --- Comment #1 from Jan Paul Batrina --- Created attachment 141897 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=141897&action=edit Kate per-filetype font settings > am not able to choose the font in any new custom-made schemas I create When color schemas were ported to color schemes, the ability to specifiy the font was removed. From https://kate-editor.org/post/2020/2020-09-06-kate-color-themes/: "The UI is changed to call this “Color Theme” instead of “Schema”, the font choosing is decoupled from this now in the settings dialog. Color themes can only alter the coloring and text attributes like bold/italic/underline/…, but not switch the font itself." That said, you can still write here your use case(s) (I think the more specific, the better) so that others can offer alternative ways to accomplish the same goal now that the feature is removed, or if there is no other way then the maintainers might be convinced to reinstate it (provided that there will be people interested in re-implementing). > With the last update of Kate, I lost my custom-made schemas With the issue of fonts addressed above, https://invent.kde.org/frameworks/syntax-highlighting/-/blob/master/utils/kateschema_to_theme_converter.py provides a way to convert your custom schemas to the corresponding color themes (I remember reading (but couldn't find) a blog post of how to use it, but hopefully the script Usage included in the script will be enough for now). > What I see now is a global font state, which sets the font on every document. It's a little bit hidden, but you can specify the font/font-size (among many other things) using the variables in filetypes (Settings > Open/Save > Modes & filetypes), see the attached screenshot -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

There isn't a button to remove this unnecessary empty channel (which doesn't contain tweening points)." I don't think that interferes with your ability to use the animation facilities? "It is also nice thing to have multiple points be selected by highlighting the first point, pressing shift, and highlighting the end, ..." The use of Ctrl+click and Shift+click doesn't match their 'usual' use for selecting individual additional items and a range of items, (you can't select a range of items). https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=442848 --- Comment #2 from artemis37 --- Thanks for the lightening reply. I really appreciate it ! In some thread online, I read that clearing the cache resolved some similar problem so I did do that and after a reboot the exaggerated memory usage decreased to around 7%. Also I changed the compositor settings from openGL 3.1 to openGL 2.0 , Is around 7% alright for plasmashell? 1.Sorry for the useless screenshot, I must have been sleepy when i took it. When I hovered the mouse pointer over the taskbar so as for taskbar preview, the ram usage used to increase. More than one tab of dolphin file explorer was enough to spike the usage by 5~6 percent. It all happened cumulatively. As I mentioned the graph flattened nearly around 22%. 2.When the system booted, the process plasma shell consumed nearly around 3% and with it kept on increasing until the 22-23% maxima. 3.Yes the notifications did sway the memory but so did everything following the few minutes of booting of system. It used to become so snappy that the computer was barely usable. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdenlive] [Bug 442631] motion tracker: re-analysis after reset does nothing
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=442631 --- Comment #1 from Pierre Nerzic --- After some experiments, I must add some informations to my report. First, it does not happen with every footage. I am not sure, but it may be related to the duration of the sequence. With a less than 7 seconds clip, the problem does not happen, but appears with a 10 seconds clip: only the first run of the Motion Tracker effect is successful, and after a Reset, next analysis do nothing and terminate much quicker. I would like to get some detailed log inside Kdenlive, to be more helpful. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[systemsettings] [Bug 442942] New: Keyboard layout per application doesn't persist after reboot
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=442942 Bug ID: 442942 Summary: Keyboard layout per application doesn't persist after reboot Product: systemsettings Version: unspecified Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: kcm_keyboard Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: cuentabas...@gmx.com CC: butir...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Not sure if this is really a bug or a feature hehe. I have two keyboard layouts, the main one and a secondary which I use on specific apps like Konsole. Somehow my choices only persist during the session and are lost every time I boot, so I have to manually switch layout for the first time I open those apps. On the settings I have keyboard layout policy set to 'application', which works with the mentioned caveat. One solution I've tried is creating a KWin rule for the applications I want to have a different layout, but there are no rules for that, only things mainly related to the window (focus, opacity, placement ...).
