- install Opensuse 15.6 inside virtualbox. set memory to 2 GB, core count to 4
(core count probably not so important),  do not enable 3d acceleration (it's
freezes desktop but I'm not sure it's kwin fault)
- open dolphin, move window (everything is ok for now)
- open firefox open 5-10 tabs with youtube videos  ()
- move dolphin window 
- enjoy slideshow
- close firefox
- move dolphin window (same slideshow)
- wait 
- move dolphin window (same slideshow)
- once kwin got into slideshow mode there is no turning back

- not sure but this could be reproduced on any distro. 
- KWIN_COMPOSE=N kwin_x11 --replace does not help (I tested X and O2 they does
not help either)

SUMMARY
Dolphin start with the message:

"There are two actions (Cut, Delete) that want to use the same shortcut
(Shift+Del). This is most probably a bug. Please report it in bugs.kde.org"

The Cut and Delete shortcuts are not available in the whole system.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Dolphin
2. Try to copy cut a file CTRL+X
3. Try to paste the file

OBSERVED RESULT
The shortcuts are not working.

All the hot keys have to work without any issue.

My display configuration view right now

SUMMARY
The option in 'Display Configuration' to set Freesync to "Automatic", "Always"
and "Off" have completely disappeared for me. I don't know why or since when,
but it was definitely present until at least after 6.0.1.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open System Settings
2. Navigate to Display Configuration

OBSERVED RESULT
Note that there is no option to control VRR.

EXPECTED RESULT

Collection is not currently on network drive. This is for a historical reason
and I haven't changed the configuration yet. In past, collection was on network
drive. Reading / Writing was slow - then i moved collection to ssd on localhost
and just bind from synology drive app ( something like dropbox, onedrive ))

The /data is btrfs if matters.

/data/SynologyDrive/Photos /mnt/snorlax/Photos  none defaults,bind 0 0

I can change to local collection from network share if this can cause the
problem.

Ive observed that file have ?? 2 sidecars ?? Can this be cause of our problems
?

Hello,

I changed the locale of the system to spanish, being in Spain, and now the
Konsole, is interacting in spanish (menus remain in English). I want it to be
in English, and I tried to configure the language many times. I also changed
the locale of the computer to NYC, nothing works.

Is there any other way to approach it?

Only root can run Discover to update the packages for Fedora 39. Other users

I have several inconsistencies in the panel, not sure if they are connected or
separate bugs. I streeched the panel hight, so that it could accommodate more
than one line. I will attach a screenshot.
* First is the icons of app and the application starter have too much space
between each other. I could not find a way to adjust this manually.
* The 2. Firefox icon in the window list is somehow broken. It does not appear
like it should be. This easier to see on the screenshot than to describe.
* I have installed the cat walk add-on. The cat is walking above the entries on
the window list. Not sure if this is a bug in cat walk or a generic plasma bug.
I would assume that the panel itself would prevent such behaviour.
* The system icons on the right are one line while the app icons on the left
are in two lines. The icon size is set to small. I would assume that for
consistency reasons, the system icons should also appear in two lines and the
same size as the app icons.

I've noticed one more thing.

Going to https://mozilla.github.io/webrtc-landing/gum_test.html and setting a
high FPS value (like 60 or even 120) results in the "FPS now" metric severely
dropping while moving the mouse.

Hello again -- I am really sorry,  I can't force it to replicate. I am not sure
if this has to to with all the settings I've reseted trying to get this to
break (rebooted, changed the sleep timings, changed the  default theme), but I
can disconnect just fine. What happens is that the screen goes dark for a tiny
bit and then reverts to normal. The problem I had was that it would stay black. 

I'll get back to this if happens again "naturally".

My guess is a problem with your network drive.
Everything is OK until the sidecar file is written. We then re-read the
metadata. Now the ItemInfo image ID== 0. I suspect that the network drive is no
longer readable within a small time window. The fact that ExifTool can no
longer load the metadata from the next image also indicates this.
I would suspect some kind of client or file lock on the NAS, something like
that is configurable on some NAS drives.

A test would be to copy the collection to a USB drive or local hard drive and
simply switch to this collection using the update function in the digiKam
collection settings to see whether the problem occurs.

in Krunner "spell quick fox" once return error spelling, then i added random

1. I checked that the mariadb-embedded package is installed. 
2. Performed the removal of the Amarok program, then deleted the directories
you specified (~/.config/amarokrc and ~/.local/share/amarok/). After that, I
restarted the computer. Next, I installed Amarok through the terminal.
Unfortunately, the error is the same. The program did not start..

Those shortcuts were placed under custom shortcuts - as a command executed on

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run the app
2. Reboot mysql server and wait that db is online again.
3. When DB is up again, digikam still complain about lost connection - no
reconnect.

OBSERVED RESULT
Connection to DB isnt restored ( ? no try to reconnect ? )

EXPECTED RESULT
Some watchdog thats try to reconnect to db and if not success after x tries,
then show me a warning

. At least in the sense that they're actually readable! It also helps that
Gnome allows choosing the overall "scheme" (background/foreground colors) and

It doesn't look like there's a Konsole black-on-white scheme update in a
decade, so it's not unreasonable to think it's due for an update:

It has been a few days since my last comment. The wayland session is totally
not usable under my case due to this issue. I set the configs under
~/.local/config/kscreen configs to be readonly, which seems partially helped
mitigate the issue on X11 and resulted in less frequent repro(s) of this issue.
Here I attached the drm_info output under wayland.

I actually like Konsole's phrasing and would love to have it in the tiling
editor as well. "Split view left-right" means, to me, that I will have a left
window and a right window in the end, which is precisely what I get. I think

I have the same issue on openSUSE Tumbleweed and disabling adaptive sync also

Does this happen only in windowed mode, or in fullscreen too? I tried Red Dead
Redemption 2 and Cyberpunk 2077, and while I can make KWin drop tons of frames
with RDR2 in windowed mode, that's because compositing takes longer than the
frame time with 100% GPU utilization, and no desktop environment can work
around that... and in full screen, there are no dropped frames (on KWin's
side).

Also, can you reproduce this in other games? In the two I tested, even while
KWin's dropping frames left and right, that only had a very very minor effect
on the game's frame graph.

As for me, I intentionally don't use baloo. I usually just search by file name
and in the same folder or subfolders of it anyway. However, just the presence
of the client-side baloo libraries with the indexer either not even installed,
or the indexer installed but never used, Dolphin seems to automatically use it
as the *only* search backend with no obvious way to bypass that.

I can't reproduce the issue when I follow the steps to reproduce exactly as
written with current git master of everything.

Does it happen for you in a new clean user account?

Does it happen in any other apps besides Dolphin?

Does it happen with Frameworks 6.1?

Also enabled extra typographic characters and Kill X.

I set same settings in a new profile and got the problem again. It's the
policy, I guess

I'm sympathetic to your point. But it's challenging. If we use the window icon
when windows are not grouped, then you'll have the experience of clicking on a
launcher icon (which uses the app's icon) and then once the app launches, the
icon will change into a different icon specific to what the window shows. That
would be rather odd.

The greater issue is that right now the UX here is incoherent since the
icons-only task manager was originally intended to implement the "dock" style
UI where windows are always grouped under an icon provided by the app itself,
not any of its specific windows.

We need to sort out the design vision here before we start pulling it in any
given direction, or else it will drift ever more aimlessly in random directions
that make the UX less coherent.

SUMMARY
on Version 24.02.1 or Version 24.02.2 AppImage when click to open for a clip
or folder etc, the popup doesn't expand to show the folder or files unless you
manual stretch the popup window. When closed and reopened it doesn't remember
it's resize position. It is always opened as the picture shows.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open for clip
2. Window popup

OBSERVED RESULT
on Version 24.02.2 or Version 24.02.1 AppImage when click to open for a clip or

it's resize position. It is always opened as the picture shows.

EXPECTED RESULT
Pop up windows should remember the size of last open, or at lease show the
files in the folder without having to resize every time you want to input a
clip

If the reports icon is missing from the list of icons for all the views, it
sounds like a build problem.  If you go to Settings/Configure  KMyMoney... and
click  Plugins on the left side, is there an entry for Reports View?  If not,
or it does not give you some configuration options, then you need to complain
to Fedora.  Let us know what the configuration dialog shows.

Hi,

There are tons of shortcuts for dolphins, but none to focus back and forth
between places and files which I do think a lot of users would benefit
