You are referring to the split view right? The split view is specific to a tab.
Opening new tabs from either of the two panes will create a new independent
tab. At least this how it works on:

Dolphin 16.12.2
KDE Frameworks 5.30.0
Qt 5.8.0 (built against 5.7.1)
The xcb windowing system

2017-06-15 Thread Nikolaos Kakouros

Bug ID: 381244

   Version: 5.10.2
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

 Component: Notifications
  Assignee: k...@privat.broulik.de
  Reporter: tterrani...@gmail.com

  Target Milestone: 1.0

Up to some point, notifications would be dismissed when you clicked on them.
That was really useful notifications would popup while you were working on sth
and often they would get in the way. You just clicked them and you were ready
to continue with you work. Now, you have to aim for the small red x icon, which
is much slower and more frustrating, especially on laptops without an external
mouse.

Is there a possibility to make the dismiss button much larger for usability
reasons? I attached an image showing a redesign of the download panel of
firefox. It used to have "action" buttons (eg open folder) similar to the red x
button plasma has in the notifications. They changed it to a much larger
rectangular area.

When trying to apply a template there is an error.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new event.
2. Edit the event and go to "Templates..." (bottom left corner of edit dialog).
3. Click "New..." and save under a name.
4. Click OK twice.
5. Create new event.
6. Got to "Templates...", select the previously created template and hit
"Apply".

What should happen:
The event fields should be populated according to the template.

What actually happens:
There is an error: "Unable to find template ''." and no field is populated.

[kwin] [Bug 394314] Mouse mark produces strange arrows

--- Comment #2 from Nikolaos Kakouros <tterrani...@gmail.com> ---
How is this supposed to work? Is it documented somewhere? Is it for developers
use? It seems buggy at least. If I enable the arrows and then release the
hotkeys, I cannot go back to drawing simple curves, it is like the effect is
stuck in arrow mode and it expects some more input before exiting.

First of all, I want to make clear that I do not know what the real issue is.

I want to use nerdfonts (https://github.com/ryanoasis/nerd-fonts) in vim
through the devicons plugin (https://github.com/ryanoasis/vim-devicons).

If you install the fonts and then try to print a character in konsole, for
example:

echo -e "\uf057"

the characters appear too small.

I am opening this bug report based on this github issue
(https://github.com/ryanoasis/nerd-fonts/issues/127) that suggests that there
is double-width character support missing from konsole.

I do not know if this is the case or what it actually means. But I thought I
could bring this to your attention in case it is a konsole issue.

I am sorry to reopen this, but I have a new use case.

I have added a vpn connection. The networks are listed in alphabetical order
and the vpn connection, although already used in the past, follows this
ordering. My connection starts with 'U' and as such shows really down the list.

Having a search field that is prefocused when opening the network list would
allow for a really powerful workflow:

- Hit shortcut for network manager applet (in my case Meta+Shift+N)
- Type the name of the target network until it is the first in the list
- Hit enter to connect.

Right now, you have to use the mouse to connect.

I have the exact issue. It could only reproduce it when using ssh. Here is the
command I use to open multiple tabs:

for i in {1..25}; do konsole --new-tab --workdir "$PWD" -e gcloud compute ssh
provisioner-$i & sleep 1; qdbus org.kde.konsole /Sessions/$i setTitle 1 $i;
done

The gcloud utility is just a convenience to login with ssh on instances running
on Google Cloud.

After all tabs are opened and ssh connection is established, I select from
Konsole's menu `Edit->Copy Input to->All Tabs in Current Window`. Then, I press
Ctrl-D or type exit and the tabs start closing in a snap. But before closing
them all Konsole crashes.

This has also happened to me when not using the 'copy input to` function. I
just enter a tab and start hitting Ctrl-D repeatedly to close the tabs. Then
Konsole crashes. I am afraid to actually close any tab unless I am completely
done with all 25 tabs since it has happened to me that closing even one tab can
crash Konsole.

SUMMARY
When searching for text that is highlighted in yellow using PDF annotations, it
is hard to find the search result as Okular highlights the search result also
in yellow.

It would be great if either:

- the search highlighting color was configurable in the search "toolbar"
- the search highlighting color was automatically set to a color contrasting
the background.

A similar request is #384267 but I am not sure it is the optimal solution, as
the annotation color can still conflict with the systems settings color.
