[digikam] [Bug 376409] New: Export doesn't work

2017-02-12 Thread Twilight Sparkle
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=376409

Bug ID: 376409
   Summary: Export doesn't work
   Product: digikam
   Version: 5.4.0
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Export
  Assignee: digikam-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: twisterddfsl83...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 104007
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=104007=edit
There is nothing shown when clicking on the export menu

What's wrong:
I select/highlight an image. I go up to the export menu and it's empty.
I select or highlight multiple images. I check the export menu and it's empty.
The export menu doesn't show anything, not even grayed out options.

What I expect to happen:
I select/highlight the images I want to export. I go to the export menu and be
able to export the images to my thumb drive, system folder, email, etc...
The export menu should either be a button that exports or be a menu with
multiple export options (to email, to folder, etc)

Attached image shows that there is nothing under the export menu. Not even
grayed out items.

5.5.0 pre windows jAlbum is only export option

Tried both the 64 and 32 bit versions on Windows 7.
Now it shows jAlbum as the only export option.

On version 5.5.0 beta
"Go to digiKam setup panel into Plugins section and check if all are enable."
Ah... All of them were disabled.

I enabled them.
Still no export to folder option.
Is there supposed to be one?

Found an interesting behavior that might help pinpoint the bug.
When I go to import and select the device that has a memory card in it... I get
the same error message as when starting, except only repeated once.

I just tried the new build. It fixed the bug completly for me.

@ Anthony Cartmell
Do you have a floppy drive? I don't and I'm no logger getting any error
messages. (I was just wondering since A is traditionally the drive name for
floppies.)

5.90 on windows 7 64, still unable to export images.

A side note shouldn't this bug description of the problem be changed to
"Can't use any export that uses the kio system anywhere that isn't linux?"

With 5.00 and 5.10 I've experienced this same problem.

It does not go away after a reboot.

Line 22 is where the trace was when the first error box appeared.

Also I screwed up on previous post, I meant debugview but wrote wintrace. :-P

That's because I closed digikam before saving the trace. I've redone the trace
and left digikam running.

Don't know if this helps... but here is a screenshot giving some details about
the card reader in my computer. If you need more details on the device ask
