I have 2 issues with audio volume management. 1. I am using volume keys. All seems to work, but often when volume is set to maximum, all applications have lower volume, like 60%. I click to volume icon, applications tab and set slider to 100% manually for all apps. So in general it working well, but after some time (1-2h of volume changing) it stops moving application sliders, and volume is low on 'maximum' 2. In 'multimedia' section of system settings, I can't set notifications volume. When I drag slider, it returns back immediately. It never worked on my machine since Plasma 5.8.2. [plasmashell] [Bug 378195] No way to change color of progressbars
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378195 --- Comment #2 from Ural <uralz...@autistici.org> --- That didn't worked for me. It changed it for sliders. So maybe it is not called 'progressbars'. I tried to edit color scheme for all similar blue colors and no any worked. I have 'Memory Status', 'Hard disk usage', 'Cpu load monitor' widgets. They have light blue color. [plasmashell] [Bug 378032] Remember history of notifications like on KDE4
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378032 --- Comment #10 from Ural <uralz...@autistici.org> --- Sorry if I misunderstood you. For me, the most annoying is that I loose Toxic notifications. It is console tox.chat client (skype alternative), that nave implemented X/DE notifications. Maybe qTox and uTox have same issue, I didn't tested. I need always to reopen my toxic to see, if I have new messages. For thunderbird, I temporary solved it by installing an addon, that shows a systray icon. The other reasons people described in these 2 links, provided in first post. I don't know how notification system is implemented, if some non-QT app send X notifications, kde will show it. Have X/GTK implemented persistent feature? or it is Qt/KDE specific? I receive many notifications and never saw any persistent in plasma 5. [plasmashell] [Bug 378032] Remember history of notifications like on KDE4
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378032 --- Comment #8 from Ural <uralz...@autistici.org> --- The list of problematic apps may be big. Devs didn't implemented 'persistent' by spec, because in KDE4 all was persistent. Someone use Evolution, someone Claws Mail, Thunderbird, qTox, uTox, toxic, pidgin, etc. So just adding a checkbox per app 'Persist notifications' will solve the issue. You can check thunderbird, qTox or any other app and be happy. And don't wait while developers will implement 'persistent' notifications by spec. It may be also be useful to temporary remember history of missed notifications while away or fullscreen -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378027 --- Comment #2 from Ural <uralz...@autistici.org> --- I already have mesa 13.0.5 and use 'XRender' as my default compositor to minimize any 3D activity (to avoid crash of nouveau) I know it is slow, but the priority is not to freeze my 4 monitors. If I use 3D, every day twice I have total freeze of my GK106 with bunch of nouveau pgraph errors and only reset helps. Especially when a browser does some WebGL. No way to reload nouveau driver. And this is with blobs, without blobs it working much worst. I did not found 'swrast' use flags in gentoo or something about it. I just have mesa installed. Can you please explain more? https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378032 --- Comment #12 from Ural <uralz...@autistici.org> --- Ok, if you don't want change the design about persistence, for me the acceptable way will be: define notifications expiry time per app. i.e. I am sitting on my computer every day from morning to evening. I define kmail and chat notifications to have expire time 1d, or until I click them in notification list. If expire=0 - until click :) That way I will not miss them and they are not persistent.
