Working on Dr Konqi
Hi guys, This is to let you know that I am working on Dr Konqi on KDE 4.14, mainly to get it to work properly on the Apple OS X platform and allow crash reports to be submitted from there. But also, I am going to have a go at updating it to use tokens on Bugzilla 4.4.5 instead of cookies. I would also like to make Dr K sensitive to new versions of Bugzilla, so that it can be coded ahead of time to accommodate changes, such as from cookies to tokens as occurred in July. I expect that the changes I make will be portable forward to KF 5. Cheers, Ian W.
Location of Dr Konqi in Frameworks/KF 5
Hi guys, I have heard that Dr Konqi source code for Frameworks/KF 5 has been placed in plasma-workspace. Please could you consider keeping it in some location that is common to all platforms? This includes both Linux platforms and non-Linux platforms, such as Windows and Apple OS X, where Plasma is not usually required. Dr K used to be in kde-runtime on KDE 4 and is needed on every platform, along with KCrash. Cheers, Ian W.

--- This is an automatically generated e-mail. To reply, visit: https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/120077/ --- (Updated Sept. 8, 2014, 2:50 p.m.) Status -- This change has been marked as submitted. Review request for kde-workspace. Bugs: 337707 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=337707 Repository: plasma-desktop Description --- This fixes a bug where if you enable automatic time synchronisation and for whatever reason remove ntpdate the time and date are not editable, and you can't disable the automatic synchronisation due to the missing binary. The only way around it currently is to install ntpdate again, go to date and time settings, disable automatic synchronisation and then finally remove ntpdate again. It also makes the Servers list uneditable when ntpdate is missing, as well as it having the same tooltip as the checkbox. Dr K used to be in kde-runtime on KDE 4 and is needed on every platform, along with KCrash. I thought we discussed that a while ago, and concluded to put it into kde- workspace -- I think due to dependencies. This doesn't mean that it has to stay there, it just means that I don't recall the exact details. I'm including plasma-devel to ask someone who knows to weigh in.
