Qt 4.8 brings a number of speed improvements and general goodness which
certainly helps the various Plasma workspaces, but i do not believe we
  have
any hard requirements on it at this time ... so i'd love to see people
using Qt 4.8, but we can keep a minimum 4.8 requirement for the time

You meant but we can keep a minimum 4.7 requirement for the time being.?

er, correct. sorry.. 4.7 minimum is ok

Downtime notification: bugs.kde.org and identity.kde.org

2012-06-08 Thread Ben Cooksley
Hi all,

In order to allow for some restructuring, there will be downtime of
KDE Bugzilla (bugs.kde.org) and KDE Identity (identity.kde.org).
Both the Identity frontend and backend will be unavailable, so please
login to any Identity authentication provided site before the downtime
begins.

This downtime will commence at approximately 19:00 CEST on Saturday,
although it may be delayed until 10:00 CEST on Sunday.

The downtime will involve changes to DNS entries, so sites may not be
available if your provider is giving out of date entries after service
is restored.
The TTL for the affected sites has already been lowered to minimise
the impact of this.

No functionality of either site will be affected or changed by this
downtime once service is restored.

Sorry about the inconvenience.

Regards,
Ben Cooksley

 Thanks,

You mean like Acitivies Library? It isn't even hard to find.

Well, it's hard to find here where I would have searched for the API:
http://api.kde.org/
As in, I could not find it at all. Thus filed a bug now, see
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=301469

The documentation certainly is - as it doesn't exist. And all I was looking
for was a pointer to the class names so I could find it from there.

But hey - glad to help you get your daily quota of meaningless snark and
assumed superiority filled. I'm sure you got a nice warm glow from it.

Sysadmin bugs are restricted in terms of access, to Sysadmins and the
reporter of the bug only.
I can confirm the bug concerns the presence of kde/kdelibs/kactivities
and kde/kdelibs/nepomuk-core on api.kde.org.

Would I be correct in assuming Controller.h and Info.h are the
only/recommended client side api's.
