Hi, the review period is over for KRDP and we'd like to officially include
KRDP in 6.1.

Here's the review request issue https://invent.kde.org/plasma/krdp/-/issues/17

Thanks!

+1. For me as someone who changes icons sometimes just to see and tinker
around,
i think this makes sense. We have reliable fallback, but we still allow
users to customize things which is, well, our thing! :)

And if the custom icons break i do not end up with broken apps, so
i really do not see any downside here, as user or dev perspective.

KDE Review Request: KRDP

2024-05-02 Thread Akseli Lahtinen
Hi!

Arjen Hiemstra and me have been working on a RDP server called KRDP.
This allows remote desktop connections over RDP protocol. Arjen
did the heavy lifting with the streaming side and the actual protocol side.

https://invent.kde.org/plasma/krdp

I have done the KCM side of things, which is a system settings menu where
one can toggle the server on and off and change various other settings like
quality of the stream and such.

You can test it with for example Remmina client, more info here:

Re: Post-MegaRelease projects

I wouldn't mind working on the high-contrast accessibility mode toggle,
since we have now unified all the contrast values for separators.

Exception request: High contrast frames and separators

2023-12-31 Thread Akseli Lahtinen
Hi!

I have made an accessibility feature that allows to set high-contrast mode for
any outlines and frames Breeze style has.

Here is the original merge request:
https://invent.kde.org/plasma/breeze/-/merge_requests/393

Do note that it's been split to three separate merge requests!
However, the above linked MR has still all the relevant info.

The feature exception request is for both style and window deco.
For style, it adds the checkbox toggle that sets the frame either
default color or high contrast color.

In window deco, we just remove the unnecessary settings,
and only have three settings: Off, Default, High Contrast

I do think this would be good to get in ASAP, since it is an accessibility
feature and will be genuinely helpful for many who need high contrast
colors in their setups.

Best regards and happy new year,
Akseli Lahtinen
