[kde-freebsd] Re: Akonadi not working with 4.6.1

2011-03-30 Thread Hannes
Well, I tried with a new user, but still same problem.

Anyone have further ideas? Working with Webmail really kills my workflow :/

Thanks for your help.

Regards,
Hannes

Zitat von Rusty Nejdl rne...@ringofsaturn.com:

I wasn't sure if this was needed here too. I was troubleshooting
both at the same time. I also cleared out my entire strigi and akonadi
config and let it chug through everything again and that got it working.

 My ~/.xinitrc contains

please, move your .xinitrc away and run startx to ensure xorg is working

if yes, try running kde via kdm:
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/x11-
wm.html#X11-WM-KDE-DETAILS
if you still have no luck, try installing gnome (`pkg_add -r gnome2`) -
and NOT another desktop environment - and see if that works

also, attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log and your Xorg.conf

First in this file are several Warnings re. non-XDG-compliant Files:

they are ok

Then there are lots of warnings re. locking-problems:

they are ok, but a little strange. i'll check them out

QDBusConnection: name 'org.kde.kglobalaccel' had owner '' but we
thought
 it was ':1.6'

i'll check this too

Would be cool to get a hint how to track this problem...

also attach your /etc/rc.conf please

The issues are not in kdepim, but in Akonadi, which is independent.
The issues exist with akonadi 1.5.1 from regular ports-tree, not area51.

Also, I did have kdepim unstable with kde4.6.0 running on this box,
with early area51?

they are the same version anyway

i think i saw on our build server that kdepim 4.6 has some problems with
some new libraries. so, again, it is not supported at the moment.
