[kde-freebsd] KDE 4.7.2 Konqueror Errors
Since upgrading to KDE4.7.2 on Freebsd 8.2 Konqueror fails with following example errors: There was an error loading the module About-Page for Konqueror. The diagnostics is: The plugin 'konq_aboutpage' uses an incompatible KDE library (4.7.2 (4.7.2)). There was an error loading the module KHTML. The diagnostics is: The plugin 'libkhtmlpart' uses an incompatible KDE library (4.7.2 (4.7.2)) There was an error loading the module Embedded Advanced Text Editor. The diagnostics is: The plugin 'katepart' uses an incompatible KDE library (4.7.2 (4.7.2)). Clearly I have missed a vital step. It totally broke my KDE installation even though I followed the instructions in the UPDATING log to the letter. I eventually fell back to using my old faithful portmanager ie, portmanager x11/kde4 -f -l and completely rebuilt KDE. It rebuilt or installed a total of 536 ports. It works fine now and there are no missing dependencies. I really don't understand why it is not used more often. It corrects problems that neither portmaster or portupgrade can cure. -- Carmel ✌ carmel...@hotmail.com ___ kde-freebsd mailing list kde-freebsd@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-freebsd See also http://freebsd.kde.org/ for latest information
