SVN commit 7089 by DragonSA: Remove upstreamed patches. These changes have been upstreamed by John Tapsell, who has made many more improvements. With the release of 4.6.2 FreeBSD remote monitoring should be fully functional (John fixed a bug that caused KSysGuard to crash when viewing remote Process Controller sensor). SVN commit 6988 by xzhayon: - Remove PATH, as it's not used by anything according to my eyes. - Rewrite the startup loop (to make it more secure and faster): * Make it depend on HAL (just like GDM). * Limit it to 1 minute instead of 10 minutes. :) KDE testers are invited to download the script, replace %%PREFIX%% with their KDE4_PREFIX, %%LOCALBASE%% with their LOCALBASE, and install it as KDE4_PREFIX/etc/rc.d/kdm4 to see if it works for them too. Unless I'm blind, it should. But These messages are not clear at all! I DO NOT UNDERSTAND : 1- in which folder let MAKEFILE run 2- what means M +14 -32 and A 3 - how disable glibc memory??? Please send links or more clear text, but not in up-cited way since it is helpless for people like me , not so skillful as you in KDE environment. I'm very sorry but all of these messages are not comprehensible at all and are completely useless in this form. many thanks anyway g. ___ kde-freebsd mailing list kde-freebsd@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-freebsd See also http://freebsd.kde.org/ for latest information

SVN commit 6029 by fluffy: - Backport critical security fix If you haven't seen the news, KDE suffers from a similar, critical security vulnerability to GNOME, reported on the oss-security list: http://marc.info/?l=oss-securityamp;m=126598163422670amp;w=2 This only affects version 4.4.0. No CVE has been issued yet, but it's quite possible one is forthcoming as it's a serious issue. The affected portion of KDE is not kscreensaver but rather krunner, which is part of kdebase-workspace, so it is likely that all distros shipping 4.4.0 are affected.
