Re: Problem(s) with plasma 5.25
Moin moin I have the same issue on my notebook with 5.25 -- I assumed it was just a local issue. I'll investigate whether this is caused by a change in the startup script. mfg Tobias On Tue, 21 Jun 2022 at 23:45, Jeremy wrote: > > I had a similar issue with 5.24.5... Re: Problem(s) with plasma 5.25
I had a similar issue with 5.24.5... I think somewhere between 5.24.3 and 5.25.5 and frameworks 5.93 and 5.94. My solution was I used ALT+F2 and opened the settings. Then I selected 'restore previous desktop session' (I think it was called), applied it, and then 'start a new desktop session' from startup and shutdown. I logged out and logged back in and it seemed fix the problem. That fix doesn't seem to work for 5.25. So I might try to install 5.25 and force install it again to see if that might fix it. FWIW, I had this recently -- for a week or so -- with Plasma 5.24.5 (from ports, though built locally with poudriere) and finally fixed it by force- upgrading the plasma5\* ports from my poudriere build. I suspect some underlying library has updated, but not all consumers have had versions bumped). After a forced reinstall of plasma from my local builds, the regular desktop came back.
