[kde-windows] [Bug 320657] The installer should install one Go engine backend as dependency when kigo is installed.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=320657 Patrick Spendrin ps...@gmx.de changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |CONFIRMED Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #1 from Patrick Spendrin ps...@gmx.de --- We have several similar problems I guess. maybe we can find a way to have an in-advance first run screen for that: if you want to run this application properly, you need to install [application] [url] On the other side: kigo itself tells you to install a go engine, or to configure kigo! properly. The question is basically if we want to be a complete software distribution, or if we simply provide you with the KDE software part and you have to install the 3rdparty applications. I started at least an overview in the wiki which we might also want to link somewhere (probably even in the installer). http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/KDE_on_Windows/additional_software_needed -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kde-windows mailing list Kde-windows@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-windows
required and optional external applications for KDE SC
Hi everybody, I have made a list of additional software that might be required or strongly recommended for some KDE applications. http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/KDE_on_Windows/additional_software_needed Please fill in the gaps, fix where needed. We might need to discuss this issue further, e.g. which changes we might want to make in that sense in kdewin-installer or the applications themselves. regards, Patrick ___ Kde-windows mailing list Kde-windows@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-windows
Re: required and optional external applications for KDE SC
Should this include optional ones (e.g.: Cantor backends)? 2013/6/4 Patrick Spendrin ps...@gmx.de Hi everybody, I have made a list of additional software that might be required or strongly recommended for some KDE applications. http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/KDE_on_Windows/additional_software_needed Please fill in the gaps, fix where needed. KMyMoney doesn't run libalkimia.dll missing
Hi!! After a fresh new install from http://windows.kde.org/download.php (mingw4 64bits), KMyMoney didn't run saying libalkimia was missing (checked that effectively libalkimia.dll is missing from the bin/ folder). Checking the installer in advanced mode I can't find the libalkimia package (also checked for alkimia). Then checked the repository http://download.kde.org/stable/4.10.2/win32/, and libalkimia it is missing from there. Other mirror like http://archive.sunet.se/pub/X11/kde/stable/ also didn't have those packages. Searching with DDG for libalkimia I got the site http://www.winkde.org/pub/kde/ports/win32/repository-4.10/kde/, which have the package libalkimia-x64-mingw4-4.3.2-bin.tar.bz2. Manually extracting libalkimia.dll in the bin/ folder make KMyMoney work. If needed I'll make a bug report. Cheers, Ismael ___ Kde-windows mailing list Kde-windows@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-windows
