KMail 1.9.10, KDE 3.5.10, openSUSE 11.0

Templates still won't change during change of identify while reply. For each
identify, templates are created. But only one used is template from Default
Identify. And there is no option to change it automatically while changing
Identify.

Any progres with this old bug?

sorry my mistake. it did filtered only this was that there was some delay. I am
a new kmail user and I expected thunderbird like behaviour ie filter messages
as they come not like first store to inbox and then apply filter move them to
folder as set in rule. Actually i find this behaviour bad.

I have a imap mail account for which I have defined filters. But I see that
they are not getting filtered and I have to apply them manually. Once when I
selected 9 of them and applied kmail crashed.
The target location of these filters is also an imap folder.

I can confirm this bug using kde 4.1.2 and kmail 1.10.1,
I don't use filters on the client-side and i'm using ms exchange imap online.

For me this is a really annoying bug as i'm using kmail constantly

--- Comment #2 from Daniel Buus bugreporting rhesusb com 2008-10-15 13:38:40

Okay, I have the same problem with GMail IMAP access. I also access an exchange
server via KMail without problems, so the issue is either something with the
communication to/from GMail, or - and this is what I just noticed, but don't
know quite how to put - something about the size of the message box?

I was fetching the listing for my inbox folder, and it died with
beforementioned message, but I noticed that the specified inbox size was
exactly 10.0 MB, so I tried fetching the list for [Gmail]/All emails, and
again, the process died with the message, and the size ended up at exactly
10.0 MB. Fetching the list of messages for Sent emails succeeded, and the
reported size is 2.0 MB. Please see enclosed screen capture.

Could this have something to do with this? I've searched and searched google
for answers, but came up short. Maybe this will help :)

Anyways, thanks for an amazing application. I've used it previously for a
couple of years, and now, after being away for a couple of years, I'm back, and
it's wonderful :) Of course, except for this bug ;)

Cheers,
Daniel

[Bug 172901] New: kontact freezes hangs slow

2008-10-15 Thread atlantis
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=172901

   Summary: kontact freezes hangs slow
   Product: kontact
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: SuSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Version:(using KDE 3.5.10)
OS:Linux
Installed from:SuSE RPMs

I start kontact. The windows starts up - and then kontatc hangs for 3-4 minutes
on full cpu load. Output:

WeaverThreadLogger: thread (ID: 2) suspended.
WeaverThreadLogger: thread (ID: 3) suspended.
WeaverThreadLogger: thread (ID: 4) suspended.
WeaverThreadLogger: thread (ID: 1) suspended.

After this, kontact works fine for some time. However, change of entries in
kaddressbook trigger the same behaviour. Makes the application unusable. kopete
has the same behaviour: hangs 2-3 minutes on startup. Interestingly, when I
close kontact, kopete hangs again for 2-3 minutes.

This behaviour is new since 2-3 weeks, it started suddenly after some kde
update. I run kde 3.5.10 on openSuSE 11.0. I have:

[Bug 172903] New: Search folders empty and lose search criteria

2008-10-15 Thread Peter Popov
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=172903

Summary: Search folders empty and lose search criteria
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.9.10
  Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Version: 1.9.10 (using 3.5.10, Kubuntu (hardy)
4:3.5.10-0ubuntu1~hardy1)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS:Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-21-generic

I have two search folders -- one searches on Message status is: Important and
the other one searches on Message status IS To Do AND Message Status IS NOT
Replied. They both search on my dIMAP mailbox, recursively. There are a total
of 6 folders and 800 messages in there.

Both search folders become empty regularly. I would start KMail and they would
contain no messages. I would then select a folder and hit s to re-do the
search, but the search criteria are also lost. Of course in my case they are
trivial to recreate but it has also happened to large regex searches and only
Klipper history spared me from pulling out my hair.

Saved searches should be saved and preserved until deleted. I believe losing
their parameters and/or content is a bug.
