[Bug 237917] New: System Tray buttons reference to wrong pages
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=237917 Summary: System Tray buttons reference to wrong pages Product: kontact Version: 4.4.3 Platform: Debian testing OS/Version: unspecified Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: c...@uni-paderborn.de Version:(using KDE 4.4.3) Installed from:Debian testing/unstable Packages I use the system tray buttons for KMail and Akregator, which show that new mails or RSS feeds arrived. When clicking on them Kontact opens. But the bug is that clicking one of these buttons leads to the kOrganizer submodule, whereas I would expect Kmail or Akregator. Second bug: when Kontact is open and I am not at the Kmail submodule, I would expect that clicking on the KMail notifier button in system tray would lead to the KMail submodule, but it simply closes Kontact. [Bug 236538] often does not find resource agents on first start of Kontact
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=236538 --- Comment #9 from didi debian cknow org 2010-05-17 12:46:30 --- I now have a workaround which has worked consistently for me so far, so this could help in solving this bug. Before starting Kontact, I start KAddressBook (via KRunner, but I don't think that's relevant). When KAddressBook starts up, I see the msg that Akonadi is not operational, but apparently KAddressBook sees that and starts Akonadi, making my contacts available shortly thereafter. Then I close KAddessBook and start Kontact, which now consistently succeeds. So apparently KAddressBook standalone does something that Kontact does not, namely noticing Akonadi isn't started and then start it vs merely reporting that Akonadi doesn't work (and doing nothing about it). Hope this helps. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

It would be great if there was a way to be able to identify a folder, or a set of folders that belong to a specific email account. Then when I click new message the From could default to the proper account. Thunderbird does this by separating the accounts. If KMail can do that, I have yet to figure it out. I hope I am simply missing a simple feature.
