(In reply to comment #0)
Version: 4.5 pre (using KDE 4.5.1)
 OS:Linux

 1. KDE PIM 4.5 or KDE PIM 4.5.1 is supposed to have solved (as suggested by
 Mr.
Tobias Koenig, KDE) some of the severe deficiencies contained in KDE PIM
 4.4.2,
Address Book, etc., applications which, incidentally, were not found in the
 earlier version of KDE PIM.

 2. KDE PIM 4.5 or KDE PIM 4.5.1 is neither available for installation using
the Linux - Ubuntu - Synaptic Package Manager nor is it available for
 download
from the KDE PIM web site (http://pim.kde.org/).

 3. The Linux - Ubuntu - Synaptic Package Manager only provides KDE PIM
 4.4.2,
which is deficient in many respects.

 4. The KDE PIM web site neither provides any downloads of KDE PIM 4.5 or KDE
PIM 4.5.1 nor does it indicate any other sites from which these may be
 downloaded.

 Reproducible: Always

 Steps to Reproduce:
 1. Using Linux - Ubuntu - Synaptic Package Manager:

1.1. Start Linux - Ubuntu - Synaptic Package Manager.

1.2. Search for KDE PIM using the Synaptic Package Manager.

 1.3. ExaminE the search results.

 2. Using KDE PIM web site:

2.1. Go to KDE PIM web site.

2.2. Search for KDE PIM download button or other means for downloading KDE PIM
 4.5.

 2.3. Evaluate the search results.

 Actual Results:
Unable to obtain access to KDE PIM 4.5 or KDE PIM 4.5.1 for installation on a
 computer system.

 Expected Results:
The ability to obtain access to KDE PIM 4.5 or KDE PIM 4.5.1 for installation
 on a computer system.

Version: 2.0 beta1
OS:Linux

Neither can I mark a message as read/unread nor can I do mark all messages in
this folder as read. Well I can, but it doesn't do anything. Having a message
open for a few seconds will turn it to read, though.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Select multiple emails.
Right click - select mark messages as unread or right click folder and select
mark all messages as read.

Actual Results:
First all messages turn read, but then turn back to unread.

I fixed the 1 case. For the number entering where you shouldn't hold the blue
arrow key... That's actually something coming from the Maemo input method or
the Qt/Maemo integration, so somewhat out of our reach.

Funnily I find it handy that you don't have to use the blue arrow when inputing
in a field which only accepts integers anyway. ;-)

Status: NEW
  Keywords: komo3
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: bjoern.ri...@intevation.de

Steps to reproduce

0) Start kmail-mobile
1) Open the flaps menu dialog.
2) Switch to the tab Identities.
3) Add another identity with a different name and the same email address.
4) Send a mail with the different identity.

Kmail-mobile still uses a different identity name (should be the default) then
the chosen one to send mails.
E.g. if the old identity is John Doe j...@doe.com and the new identity is
Foo bar j...@doe.com the new mail gets send with John Doe j...@doe.com
whether or not the identity is changed in create mail dialog.

Only the identity name isn't changed. E.g. using a different signature works
without a problem.

[Bug 252651] Conflicts through fast marker/flag setting

--- Comment #1 from Felix Wolfsteller felix wolfsteller intevation de
2010-09-28 15:07:38 ---
In the steps to reproduce I forgot

1a) open maintenance view (touch folder again)

Conflict will also include the Modification Time.
Similarly effect when touching Actions fastly multiple times.
Works also for single actions (e.g. touch Mark as Important 5 times).

[Bug 240981] Crash of akonadi on login

--- Comment #25 from Juergen Sauer juergen sauer automatix de 2010-09-28
17:44:02 ---

You mean if the user has running _two_ sessions in parallel from different
workspaces? Well, that will indeed will cause troubles, but this will happen
with any other software as well, which assumes that it has exclusive access to
 its configuration/data files.

Yes, this is the Problem.
Akonadi is not protected against this. So this is an critcal NOGO-AT-ALL
ERROR!

It is an very bad, bad idea and short thought concept, that this an problem at
all.
KDE is definitely not single an USER GUI! Multiple Logons are definetly an
Must work feature. Especially in Enterprise environments.

Embedded MySQL Datafiles is an bad idea - IMHO a broken concept - even upon
this issue.

Works here local points of arguements are definitely not an Option at all.

So this Bug has absolute Priority.

[Bug 252682] New: Akonadi IMAP resource crash

2010-09-28 Thread Joachim Mairböck
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=252682

   Summary: Akonadi IMAP resource crash
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: IMAP resource
AssignedTo: er...@kde.org
ReportedBy: j.mairbo...@gmail.com
CC: vkra...@kde.org, kdepim-bugs@kde.org

Application: akonadi_imap_resource (0.1)
KDE Platform Version: 4.5.1 (KDE 4.5.1)
Qt Version: 4.7.0
Operating System: Linux 2.6.34.7-0.3-pae i686
Distribution: openSUSE 11.3 (i586)

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I wanted to prepare myself for the Akonadi switch and created two IMAP
resources for my mail accounts yesterday, one for GMail and one for the
university account (based on Microsoft Exchange). The university one does
currently not seem to work though.
Today, one of them crashed, considering the higher memory usage, I assume it
was the GMail one. The resources are currently not actively used.

[Bug 244860] Kmail reports, that server doesn't support UIDL

The same happens here. Client software is KMail 1.13.5 (from KDE 4.4.5 on
Frugalware Linux), server software is either an unknown something (with one of
my POP3 mailboxes) or Courier 4.7.0-2 (on Frugalware Linux, my other POP3
mailbox). The first message is about the UIDL stuff, the second depends on the
POP3 server: the unknown something reports that the invalid . file cannot be
read (or something like that, I'm using KMail in Hungarian), the Courier one
reports that the invalid 1067 file cannot be read (whatever these means).
Both the Frugalware boxes are using official Frugalware FPMs: the client uses
the -current branch, the server uses the -stable one.

Is there any way to get rid of these annoyances?

I have the same error here. It happens on my local IMAP server (dovecot) when I
enter a folder with no messages in it (only with subfolders).

[Bug 252698] New: Filter not working when Kmail is in French

2010-09-28 Thread guilo19
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=252698

Summary: Filter not working when Kmail is in French
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.13.5
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: filtering
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: guil...@free.fr

Version: 1.13.5 (using KDE 4.5.1)
OS:Linux

I am trying to create a filter where action is to add sender to my address
book. So I want to add the from field. When I close the filter window and
goes back to it, the field where I choose what to add to the address book is
cleared.

But this behaviour only appears (at least) when application is in french. When
I switch to english it works great.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Try to create such a filter when KMail in french. Doesn't work. Switch to
English. It works

Actual Results:
In french, the filed from (De) and to (À) aren't recorded when saving the
filter

Expected Results:
The filter saves this part of the filter configuration

Happens to me very often with kmail 1.13.5 (kde 4.4.5), so often that I cannot
even type a mail without being interrupted several times.
It happens only in kmail, other apps are fine.
It started to happen some time ago, and not following a kde / kmail update, it
was probably caused by an update of an external program.
