Bug 275756 is most likely a duplicate of this one. Can someone confirm that and
change the other bug's status?

My 2 ct to this bug: It would be a small improvement if special folders like
Inbox, Drafts, or Trash would be excluded from the normal sorting and always
shown at the top, i.e. directly under the node representing the mail server.

kdepim 4.6 does not obey any font settings as it seems as well, i.e. changing
small font in KDE's systemsettings does not change the font size in
kaddressbook. If this is hard-coded it should at least be changed to use the
small fonts setting.

Better would be of course if the user could set which setting to use, i.e.
either normal font or small font.

Doing fon settings per app does not make sense imho, but using KDE's different
settings and not hardcoding some size is crucial.

Well, just to keep this bug updated: Still present in 4.6.0.

@Thomas Fischer: Depending on the Way the IMAP server or you yourself handle
folder locally that idea is not quite so good. In my case I have s folder
structure like this (cause of GMX), written in the order i would like them to
view:

inbox
private messages
open source stuff
remaining stuff
trash
sent items
drafts

So I would hate it to have trash etc. before any of my other content folders.
It would make sense to have such an option as an option though.

The other bug you mention is definitely a duplicate, maybe one of the bugsquad
can mark it accordingly (And maybe finally mark this bug as confirmed or
something...), however I left a comment just in case.

[Bug 259574] conflict resolution box appears a lot

2011-06-26 Thread Hussam Al-Tayeb
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259574

--- Comment #15 from Hussam Al-Tayeb hussam visp net lb 2011-06-26 12:41:05
---
(In reply to comment #14)
Here the conflict resolution box complains a lot about 2 e-mails which only
 differs in the modification time.

The left e-mail has a modification time that is the same as the localtime on
 my
system and the right e-mail has a modification time that is my localtime minus
2 hours (looks like a different timezone). Sometimes, I've seen it only once,
the difference is 2 hours plus or minus 1 second (I don't remember plus or
 minus).

 Example:
 Left: 2011-06-21 01:26:17
 Right: 2011-06-20 23:26:17

Is the time difference because of the filtering?
time 1: when email was sent.
time 2: when email was downloaded and filtered?

It just should be configurable. Show it or not, icons view or list, size of
icons, and very important: the option to show how many new mails are in those
folders and an indicator like bold font that there are new mails! Useless for
me without.

kmail (2.1.0) on KDE Platform 4.6.4 (4.6.4) using Qt 4.7.3

- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I was staring at a blank KMail: no messages, no folders, nothing. KMail
repeatedly refused to pick up any mail from any server, no matter how long I
waited or how many times I quit and restarted it. The UI looked normal (i.e.
all the buttons, menus etc were there), but the folder and message windows were
completely empty.

This is how Nepomuk feeders can be disables (including error messages from
them):
1. Go to /usr/share/akonadi/agents/
2. Remove Autostart from the X-Akonadi-Capabilities parameter in all files
named nepomuk*.desktop (nepomukcalendarfeeder.desktop,
nepomukcontactfeeder.desktop, ...)
3. Run akonadiconsole and remove all resources related to Nepomuk
4. You might also need to run kbuildsycoca4 after editing .desktop files, but
I'm not sure if it's necessary

[Bug 276571] New: Does not import properly messages with large attachments

2011-06-26 Thread bogdan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=276571

Summary: Does not import properly messages with large
attachments
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 2.1.0
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: bog...@hlevca.com

Version: 2.1.0 (using KDE 4.6.4)
OS:Linux

Because the import failed I just copied the maildir directory in the
appropriate place.
The trick seemed to work and the messages were imported after a long time
though.
The big problem is that those messages with large attachments can't be viewed.
The subject is there but the content did not appear in 30 minutes or more.

I tried to send a 9 MB email and the problem is the same. I think that the
MySQL driver is incapable to handle emails with size 1.5MB

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Send an email with at least 6MB attachment to a email box which is queried by
Kmail.

The mail will not be received in kmail although it is on the server.

Actual Results:
mail is corrupted or does not arrive

Expected Results:
mail should be fetched

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.39.1-cfq-desktop
Compiler: gcc

Had same problem on Fedora 15 after upgrade to KDE 4.6.4. kdepim version
4.5.96.

Workaround was to launch Akonadi Console, select Local Folders resource,
select configure/configure natively.

Error appeared indicating current folder did not exist, select new path:
/home/USER/.kde/share/apps/kmail/mail/

Kontact/kmail now working again as normal.

[Bug 276587] New: Kmail crashes after finding duplicate mail

2011-06-26 Thread Leon Maurer

Summary: Kmail crashes after finding duplicate mail
   Product: kontact
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: leon.n.maurer...@alum.dartmouth.org

Application: kontact (4.6.0)
KDE Platform Version: 4.6.4 (4.6.4)
Qt Version: 4.7.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.38-8-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 11.04

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

Frequently when I use kmail, I've been getting pop-ups from kmail about
duplicate emails. It shows the emails side by side and asks if I want to keep
the left one, the right one, or both. Sometimes these don't seem to be
duplicates, and I don't see why it's having problems with duplicates so
frequently. Anyhow, I clicked the keep both button and then kmail crashed.
