Prototype patch to integrate lynx in KMail

This is a patch which uses lynx to render HTML code to plain text. I had no
recent kdepim libraries installed (hacked at DS 2011), but the concept should
be clear. If there is interest in such a solution, I will look into refining
it.

From bug 279397 (kactivitymanagerd crashed, KDE SC 4.7.0)
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
logging in into a new session of KDE after making some software updates
involving Zypper

[Bug 279602] New: changing identity breakes e-mail content

2011-08-07 Thread Silver Salonen
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=279602

Summary: changing identity breakes e-mail content
   Product: kmail2
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: silver.salo...@gmail.com

Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.0)
OS:Linux

I have multiple identities with different signatures. When I compose an e-mail
and change signature meanwhile, the previous signature gets replaces with a new
one, but if the e-mail has the content of the 1st signature anywhere else, that
elsewhere locating content gets replaces too.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Create multiple identities with different signatures
2) Open an e-mail that contains something from one of the signatures
3) Start replying to that e-mail
4) Change identity

Actual Results:
Content that is identical to the current signature (eg. 'Silver') gets replaced
by the new signature.

Expected Results:
Only signature should be replaced.

[Bug 279609] New: Kontact crashes when marking invisible mail as read

2011-08-07 Thread Leon Maurer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=279609

Summary: Kontact crashes when marking invisible mail as read
   Product: kontact
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: leon.n.maurer...@alum.dartmouth.org

Application: kontact (4.7.0 )
KDE Platform Version: 4.7.00 (4.7.0)
Qt Version: 4.7.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.38-10-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 11.04

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I received three emails. I read them, and their color in the list changed to
indicate they were read. However, the number next to the folder still indicated
there were three unread emails in the folder (which was false). I waited a few
hours, but that did not change (I received no new emails during this time). So
I right clicked the folder and selected the option to mark all messages in the
folder as read. Then Kontact crashed.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:

There were no unread messages in the folder; yet, Kontact indicated there were
three unread emails in the folder.
