[Bug 281085] New: conflict resolution dialogue sometimes locks up the GUI
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=281085 Summary: conflict resolution dialogue sometimes locks up the GUI Product: kmail2 Version: Git (master) Platform: Compiled Sources OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: j...@keelhaul.me.uk Version: Git (master) (using Devel) OS:Linux My current KMail2 setup includes a filter which appears to trigger the conflict resolution dialogue frequently. That appearing is bug 259574; however, a secondary problem is that sometimes when this box appears neither it nor the main KMail window will respond to anything - mouse clicks, menus or keys. There is no high CPU usage and no Akonadi activity, and the windows are drawn correctly, but the only way out is to kill the KMail process. Restarting KMail resolves the conflicts and from then on everything appears to be normal (until the next time). Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: Wait for the conflict resolution dialogue to appear. Actual Results: GUI sometimes locks up, need to kill the Kmail process. Expected Results: GUI should continue working. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 281089] New: folder properties Access Control and Quota tabs appear for all folders
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=281089 Summary: folder properties Access Control and Quota tabs appear for all folders Product: kmail2 Version: Git (master) Platform: Compiled Sources OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: folders AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: j...@keelhaul.me.uk Version: Git (master) (using Devel) OS:Linux These tabs appear in the folder properties dialogue for some (but not all) local folders. They never appear for the inbox or any other special folders, but most (but not all) of the others. There seems to be no pattern as to whether they appear for normal folders, but it is consistent for any particular folder (even over a close and restart of KMail). Where the tabs do appear, they are useless: in Access Control all of the Add/Edit/Remove buttons are permanently disabled, while Quota just shows a white bar with 100% superimposed. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Select Folder Properties of a local folder (not IMAP) and observe. Actual Results: Some (but not all) folders show these tabs. Expected Results: IIRC, in KDE3 these tabs were only shown for IMAP folders. Note, though, that even for IMAP the Quota tab just shows a bar with 100%, with no other GUI elements. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=281085 --- Comment #2 from Jonathan Marten jjm keelhaul me uk 2011-08-31 09:43:29 --- The filter that seems to trigger the CR box is a mailing list that has an annoying [List name] prefix added to the subject line of every email. So I'm trying to remove that and filter the mail into a specific folder, with a filter set up as: Match any of the following List-Id contains address1.yahoogroups.com List-Id contains address2.yahoogroups.com Rewrite Header - Subject replace \[.*\] * with (null string) Move into Folder - Local Folders/destination Apply to incoming messages - all but online IMAP accounts Apply on manual filtering If filter matches, stop processing here Many, but not all, incoming messages to this list trigger the CR box. [Bug 276077] unable to send queued message
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=276077 --- Comment #22 from S Clark smc+kdebugs dogphilosophy net 2011-08-31 20:49:22 --- I wanted to follow up and report that my AUDITSYSCALL thing does, indeed, turn out to be unrelated. KMail is still doing this (i.e. silently refusing to send) to me. I have noticed that on occasion if log out of KDE and back in, then restart kmail, I get the kwallet popup once which is apparently for the incoming (IMAP) mail. On a couple of occasions at least, I can then close kmail, disconnect from the network (via wicd), then reconnect...and all of a sudden I get another kwallet popup asking for permission, and when granted, I finally get an email sent notice (note that kmail appears to have been closed at this point, but evidently the process trying to send via SMTP is still running in the background, blocked on whatever the heck it is that's causing this problem). Is KMail maybe not asking for access to the password wallet for SMTP on the assumption that it has already accessed the wallet for the IMAP password and doesn't think it needs to again, or something? (Just grasping at metaphorical straws here, I have no idea and this bug is starting to drive me Nucking Futs...) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
