Then thanks for the update. I just compiled current 4.7 branch again, but the issue is still there. To me it seems that the problem is: It is not possible to drag a folder and then drop it between two other folders to rearrange it. You just can move folders into other folders. Now what happened to me while testing a minute ago is: I wanted to rearrange the INBOX and accidentally dropped it into the Drafts folder. When kmail tried to sync this change (IMAP) the server will have refused that change because moving a root folder into one of its children is not really a good idea ;) Now kmail (or akonadi?) lost all locally cached mails and just has started to redownload everything... this will last some hours now. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

I'm a KDE user and I think I've come up with something interesting to implement in Akregator, though it might be kind of complicated. Akregator is my favorite feed reader application and I usually find myself with some repeated articles and news. It might not be exactly the same new, but the message is practically the same. My idea consists in a filter which identify similar articles, labels them as duplicated and, this way, it may save user's time. I think it would be something pretty innovative (I can't think of any reader with this function) and useful. I'm also aware that implementing might be a little tricky but I think the final result could be used even further than Akrgator itself. I hope you like the idea and thank you for your time :) Reproducible: Didn't try Expected Results: Amazings -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

Sometimes opening the resource and refetching all collections (7, Google Calendar, but I had the same problem with another Caldav server) helps, sometimes not. Sometimes restarting akonadi fixes the problem, sometimes not. Heavy network/internet load seems to contribute to the problem, but I'm not sure about it. [Bug 253031] Crash of the IMAP resource when accessing Gmail
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=253031 --- Comment #15 from Richard de Vries richarddevries gmail com 2011-10-29 00:57:12 --- Created an attachment (id=65001) -- (http://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=65001) New crash information added by DrKonqi akonadi_imap_resource (4.7) on KDE Platform 4.7.2 (4.7.2) using Qt 4.7.4 - What I was doing when the application crashed: I used the wizard to set up KMail for Gmail. This produced this bug. I then tried several other things, like removing the account and setting it up manually. Sometimes it fetches all mail headers, sometimes it doesn't, but it crashes everytime. After the crash, KMail shows the mailheaders it has retrieved, but it won't fetch the content or update mail folders. It just does nothing (no error messages, for example). I should perhaps add that I installed Kubuntu from the mac-iso. -- Backtrace (Reduced): #6 QSharedDataPointer (o=..., this=0x7fffd50ecee0) at /usr/include/qt4/QtCore/qshareddata.h:93 #7 assignEntityPrivate (one=..., other=...) at ../../akonadi/entity.cpp:49 #8 0x7f7ca7979934 in Akonadi::Entity::Entity (this=optimized out, other=optimized out) at ../../akonadi/entity.cpp:56 #9 0x0041959f in ImapResource::onIdleCollectionFetchDone (this=0x90dba0, job=0xb590d0) at ../../../resources/imap/imapresource.cpp:504 #10 0x0041a235 in ImapResource::qt_metacall (this=0x90dba0, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=16, _a=0x7fffd50ed0e0) at ./imapresource.moc:135 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
