[Bug 289533] Invitation confirmation sent to wrong person and contains wrong translation

2011-12-23 Thread Gunter Ohrner

--- Comment #3 from Gunter Ohrner kdebugs CustomCDROM de 2011-12-23 08:34:31
---
Not really. The wrong translation is fixed, but that still does not explain the
(from my point of view) swapped sender/receiver addresses in the confirmation
mail, and it does not explain why the meeting's Chair should Accept or
Reject a *confirmation* from a participant.

Maybe I should have split the translation issue into a separate bug. :)

[Bug 289657] New: Messages disappear from folders

2011-12-23 Thread mikael.salson
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=289657

   Summary: Messages disappear from folders
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.7
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: message list
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: mikael.sal...@gmail.com

Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.3)
OS:Linux

Sometimes, when entering a folder that contains unread emails, the unread
emails disappear. I can't see them anymore. Some unread emails may also
disappear while some other ones will remain in the folder.
I don't yet understand when the emails reappear but they eventually reappear in
the same folder, still marked as unread (probably after a restart, but not
systematically). That happens in any folder, the message may have been filtered
or not.

Updating the folder is useless.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
I have no idea how I could reproduce it. And I'd love to know how I could
reproduce the messages reappearing.

Expected Results:
KMail should (obviously) not hide unread messages.

[Bug 289677] New: KMail2 S/MIME signed-only emails are formed incorrectly, non-SMIME email clients unable to display them

2011-12-23 Thread Nicholas Sushkin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=289677

   Summary: KMail2 S/MIME signed-only emails are formed
incorrectly, non-SMIME email clients unable to display
them
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 2.1.1
  Platform: Slackware Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: crypto
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: nsush...@sushkins.net

Version: 2.1.1 (using KDE 4.6.5)
OS:Linux

When sending an S/MIME clear-signed (signed but not encrypted) message, KMail2
doesn't follow S/MIME RFC correctly, resulting in a non compliant MIME header
usage. Some mail clients like iPad and Outlook Web Access are unable to show
the email body. They show empty message with a single smime.p7m attachment.

Per S/MIME RFC 2633 (http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2633#section-3.4), there are
two ways to send a signed-only message: application/pkcs7-mime with SignedData,
and multipart/signed. Apparently, KMail2 can send both, controlled by menu
Options/Cryptographic Message Format/SMIME Opaque or (just) SMIME.

The multipart/signed is governed by Section 3.4.3
(http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2633#section-3.4.3).

RFC provides a sample of a clear-signed email in
http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2633#section-3.4.3.3

3.4.3.3 Sample multipart/signed Message

   Content-Type: multipart/signed;

   This is a clear-signed message.

This bug is a duplicate of Bug 280245, but maybe explains better.

This bug doesn't cause a crash, but recipients with at least iPad, iPhone, and
Outlook Web are unable to read these messages.

gpg2 developer Werner Koch says it's not a problem with gpg, but with KMail
regression. http://markmail.org/message/li3nvwhg2mh7kv5n

[Bug 289678] New: [Akonadi Nepomuk Feeder] virtuoso-t locked up after indexing.

2011-12-23 Thread Alejandro Nova
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=289678

Summary: [Akonadi Nepomuk Feeder] virtuoso-t locked up after
indexing.
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: 4.8
  Platform: Chakra
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Nepomuk Feeder Agents
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: alejandron...@gmail.com
CC: vkra...@kde.org

Version: 4.8 (using Devel)
OS:Linux

Sometimes, when akonadi_nepomuk_feeder indexes mail, virtuoso-t can be left in
a locked up state (100% cpu usage). The lock up can appear randomly, and if it
appears, the only way to restore normal funcionality is to stop akonadi (if
virtuoso_t is locked up, it will remain using 100% cpu after Akonadi is
stopped), kill the locked up copy of virtuoso-t, and restart Akonadi.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
This happens randomly, but it can be triggered by:

- Adding a mail account.
- Adding the Facebook resource.
- Adding the Google resources.

Actual Results:
virtuoso_t is left using 100%, no matter what I do. This is complex, since that
CPU usage masks the real impact of mail indexing in resources

Expected Results:
virtuoso_t uses a variable amount of CPU, and, when akonadi_nepomuk finishes,
virtuoso_t uses 2% to 3%.

KDE 4.8 RC1.

[Bug 289700] New: Fix everything before releasing - kmail currently is so unstable

2011-12-23 Thread John Floyd

Summary: Fix everything before releasing - kmail currently is

   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.7
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: jfl...@bigpond.net.au

Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.3)
OS:Linux

Have been running everything on a 1G netbook, for over a year.

Latest version HAS to have akonadi and it appears nepomuk running. Chewing up
netbook limited resopurces like crazy.

Got kmail working satisfactory then after a reboot not working. Wont sync to
imap server now. Wont let me delete local kmail emails! Wont let me add a new
imap source.

I really like its interfacing with korganizer which now has other problems.

Will there be an option to run everything outside of a database, like it used
to run, with much lower memory usage.

Now looking for a useful email calendar system.

Kdepim used to be a reasonable system for local use.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
run kmail.

Actual Results:
basically hangs syncing imap resource

Expected Results:
Just works like it has for quite a long time.

I'm not so sure about this. Certainly this would be a very dynamic, on-the-fly,
Gmail-style UI design. But it would mean moving away from the classic UI
philosophy. Therefore I would only go this way as part of a complete UI
redesign, in other words a Kmail3, which probably isn't on the roadmap for the
next years to come.

Technically, this would require integrating composer functionality into the
viewer, which is doable but quite some work which is more needed improving
stability and basic functionality.

Fix everything before releasing - kmail currently is so unstable

Not a bug.

Will there be an option to run everything outside of a database, like it used
to run, with much lower memory usage.

No. but you're free to use kdepim 4.4.11 (at your own risks)

For further reports:
- one issue = one bug report. Mixing everything makes triaging harder.

Looks like the code responsible for MIME is either in messagecomposer or in
KMime, the latter described at
http://api.kde.org/4.x-api/kdepimlibs-apidocs/kmime/html/index.html#crypto

Looks like messagecomposer signjob is responsible for invoking gpg and getting
signature, then putting the result together with

d-resultContent = Message::Util::composeHeadersAndBody( d-content, signature,
d-format, true, signatureHashAlgo );

Ah, found it. Looks like it's already been fixed by Volker Krause

https://projects.kde.org/projects/kde/kdepim/repository/revisions/24e069f14f1e7d861383b87db7f3a72941400d07

Not sure what the proper resolution should be.
