[Bug 308097] New: Manually editing a filter e-mail address causes KMail filter to fail
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=308097 Bug ID: 308097 Severity: normal Version: 4.8.5 Priority: NOR Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Summary: Manually editing a filter e-mail address causes KMail filter to fail Classification: Unclassified OS: Linux Reporter: ab@ntlworld.com Hardware: Mandriva RPMs Status: UNCONFIRMED Component: filtering Product: kmail2 If you edit a filter criteria tha is made semi-automatically, using the context menu option 'Create Filter > Filter on From...' on a e-mail, it will failn Because you can't edit e-mail addresses in the Available Filters pae, you have to remake the filter once it's broken Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use an e-mail to make a filter based on the 'From:' field, using the shortcut menu option 'Create filter > Filter on From...' The Filter Rules dialog is opened with the skeleton of the filter filled in for you and the e-mail address shown in the Available Filters pane on the left timmediate after the colon i.e. ':e-mail@e-mail-address'. 2. Edit the filter criteria in the right hand pane, add a space at the front, and remove it with the backspace key (or do any other edit of the text or a single character). The e-mail address in the Available Filters pane now shows a leading space character after the colon i.e. ': e-mail@e-mail-address'. 3. Actual Results: The e-mail as shown in the Available Filters pane seems to be what is used, not as shown in the Filter Criteria pane. The match is exact, including the leading space character, which is never present in the e-mail address used to create the filter, so the filter always fails Expected Results: The Available Filters pane should not add a leading space character to email addresses when the Filter Criteria are edited. It should duplicate any editing done in the Filter Criteria pane. In the example given, it should follow the backspace key, and remove the leading space from the e-mail address There are any number of bug reports where this may be a contributory factor -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 308068] New: Kmail drag and drop of messages to folders stops working if blender has been started
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=308068 Bug ID: 308068 Severity: minor Version: unspecified Priority: NOR Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Summary: Kmail drag and drop of messages to folders stops working if blender has been started Classification: Unclassified OS: Linux Reporter: j...@ieec.cat Hardware: Ubuntu Packages Status: UNCONFIRMED Component: folders Product: kmail2 I've found that if I ever start blender (the 3D drawing program) in a KDE session, drag and drop of messages to folders in kmail stops working. I can select and drag messages, but when the mouse pointer hovers over the folders, it doesn't change to the shape it usually does, and releasing the mouse button does nothing. I've found this happening in Debian Lenny, Debian Squeeze, Kubuntu 10.04, Kubuntu 10.10, Kubuntu 11.04, kubuntu 11.10 and Kubuntu 12.04, both for 32 and 64 bits, using official kmail packages for each distribution always, and for blender versions at least from 2.6x, downloaded from the blender site (www.blender.org). In fact, it happens to me for all versions of blender and kmail I've tried (always in Linux, Debian or Kubuntu, 32 or 64 bits). I use imap to connect to the mail server in all cases, but the problem appears both for local and remote imap folders. The configuration of the destination folder doesn't seem to matter either. I always list my messages by flat date, with classic view, so that might possibly be related to the problem The problem appears from the moment I start blender, even is kmail is not on at the moment, and doesn't go away after switching off either blender of kmail. It does go away after I close the session and login again. I haven't detected this problem in any other KDE program, but kmail is the only program where I regularly use drag and drop, so the problem may not be restricted just to kmail, nor I've found any other problem but blender causing that effect. It's not a very important issue, since I still can move messages around using the menus, but I find it a very surprising problem, since I can not fathom how could blender and kmail be interacting in such a way. I've searched both internet and the KDE bug list for this bug, but I haven't found anything even remotely similar, so it may have something to do with my specific configuration. Yet, it happens to me in Debian Squeeze (that's kmail 1.13.5), where the configuration has been inherited and upgraded from the first KDE 3 versions), and in Kubuntu 1x.x, starting with a clean configuration from 10.04 (now at Kubuntu 12.04, and updated just two days ago). I get this problem with 100% reproducibility. Every time I start blender, drag and drop stops working in kmail. If I don't start blender, drag and drop never stops working in kmail. While a session where I've started blender is running, drag and drop never works again for kmail in that session. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install kmail in kubuntu 12.04 from packages 2. Download and install blender 2.64 from www.blender.org 3. Start blender 4. Try to drag messages from the message list in kmail to any folder Actual Results: I can select folders and drag them, but I cannot drop them: releasing the mouse button seems to do nothing, yet no error message or warning appears. The background of the folder changes colour when the pointer hovers over it, but not the same colour I get when drop works. Expected Results: The pointer should change shape when hovering over the destination folder, the background of the folder name should change colour, and when releasing the mouse button I should get a short menu asking if I want to copy or move the selected messages to the destination folder. I have access to the Kubuntu computer only during weekends, so if you request additional tests with modern versions of kmail it may take a few days. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[Bug 308064] New: "Load external references" setting on a folder is not completely evaluated
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=308064 Bug ID: 308064 Severity: normal Version: 4.9.2 Priority: NOR Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Summary: "Load external references" setting on a folder is not completely evaluated Classification: Unclassified OS: Linux Reporter: mathias.hom...@opensuse.org Hardware: Other Status: UNCONFIRMED Component: general Product: kmail2 I have one folder where I allow HTML mails, and external references. Therefor I set the flags for those two settings in the "Folder" menu accordingly. Since KDE 4.9.2, the HTML flag still works, but the "load external references" flag doesn't, I get mails displayed with placeholders. What's more, when I switch that flag off, and back on, I get to see the external images, but I still get the "Click here to enable external references" header displayed on top of the email. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set up a folder for HTML mail with external refs 2. put somesuch mails in there 3. set the folder flags in the folder menu 4. open a mail in that folder, observe the external references not being loaded, or being loaded but in either case you always see the "Click here to enable external references" headerbox. Actual Results: see steps Expected Results: I would expect the "click here to..." to go away after I enable external references. I would also expect the feature to work right away after starting kontact. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 259210] Window title gets "Loading.../" prepended multiple times when accessing mails/folders

Pushed by dfaure into branch 'KDE/4.9'. Fix initial state of actions (and window title). ETM now tells us when a folder is available, and when kmail receives this for the current folder, it updates its copy of the collection object in mCurrentFolder, the window title, the state of the actions, etc. Technically we could listen to dataChanged, but that's called so often for so many different reasons, it would just slow things down. Especially since we don't need to be notified of future changes (new email, mail read, etc.), because we already get that from Akonadi::Monitor).
