[Bug 309891] New: Filter buttons and context menu option are not shown

2012-11-11 Thread Patrick
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=309891

Bug ID: 309891
  Severity: normal
   Version: 4.9.3
  Priority: NOR
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
Summary: Filter buttons and context menu option are not shown
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: patr...@noxs.nl
  Hardware: Archlinux Packages
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Component: UI
   Product: kmail2

The filter buttons (like spam and ham) in the toolbar and their equivalent
context menu options are are not shown after login. Only after restarting
kmail, the buttons and context menu options are shown.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot and login (kmail starts automatically).
2. Check the kmail toolbar and context menu.
3. Restart kmail.
4. Check the kmail toolbar and context menu again.
Actual Results:
At step 2, the toolbar shows no filter buttons en the context menu shows no
filter actions.
At step 4, the buttons and actions are shown as expected,

Expected Results:
At step2, the toolbar should show the filter buttons and the context menu
should show the filter actions according the configuration.

This appears to be a problem with akonadi being started by kmail. When akonadi
is already running, kmail behaves as expected. Stopping akonadi and then
starting kmail, always reproduces the problem.

[Bug 309756] Problem with Mysql table impact right use in kde PIM apps

2012-11-11 Thread liochan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=309756

--- Comment #3 from liochan lio...@lionelchanson.fr ---
New KDE update solve some problems but not all.

[ioo@shikoku ~]$ kdeinit4 --version
Qt: 4.8.3
KDE: 4.9.3

I do not upload errors logs because except the date they are the same.

Kmail
*To Read my email.
Really depend but sometimes :
- I select an email and I can read it.
- I select an email and I have to wait more than 20sec to read it.
- I restart kmail because email content is not loaded.

*I can now delete email.
I also have to do the 3 process described in to read my email to successfull
delete a message.
I don't know what happen but my akonadi resource configuration has changed. My
initial configuration was to remove from imap (inbox or any folder in my imap
account) to local trash. When I go back to resource configuration the setting
wasn't set anymore. For my 3 imap akonadi resources I have to reinsert this
setting.

*No more autocompletion from kaddress book in kmail recipient message input.
Before in kde 4.9.2 old contact appear when I type something. But since 4.9.3
nothing happen. I can go to select a contact in a message with the select
button and search in kaddress book.
I think in 4.9.2 it works with old contacts and not new because kmail also save
frequently used contacts. As I deleted mysql database, I think it also deletes
this memory. So I suspect this functionality doesn't work than more than one or
two updates.

Kalendar
Everyday when I start my computer and my kde session I have to check my
calendar checkbox to display my calendar. If I restart the program the calendar
checkbox stay checked.

For me when it messes up, the positions for most notes are at the top left of
the screen.
It seams to mess up randomly for notes when doing Hide All Notes / Show All
Notes.
I turned off Compiz(kwin --replace), and now all but one note shrinks
vertically every time a 'Hide All Notes' / 'Show All Notes' is done. When
Compiz is turned back on, the notes no longer have the shrinking vertically
problem, until Compiz is turned off with kwin --replace...

[Bug 309920] New: Kmail2 creates up to 70 mb/s write activity to the disk without any running action

2012-11-11 Thread Tobias Hirning
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=309920

Bug ID: 309920
  Severity: critical
   Version: 4.8.5
  Priority: NOR
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
Summary: Kmail2 creates up to 70 mb/s write activity to the
disk without any running action
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: ssky...@web.de
  Hardware: Ubuntu Packages
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Component: general
   Product: kmail2

When running kmail2 it creates 40-70 mb/s write activity to the diks. There's
no running action or any user interaction. iotop lists a akonadi job as the one
creating the write activity.
Nepomuk is already disabled.
There are around 400.00 mails in the maildir format. The size of the mail
folder is around 2 GB. There was no problem with the former kmail. The problem
first occured when installing an new Kubunt 12.04.01 LTS.
It is strange, that there is only a huge write activity and not a read
activity.

If you need some more information, I will try to provide them. Upgrading to
unstable package is not really possible as it is a productiy environment.
Without fixing this bug I really consider switchting to another mail program as
it makes work really difficult.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Kmail2
2. Watch disk activity.
Actual Results:
The disk activity is around 40-70 mb/s.

Expected Results:
The disk activity is low.

Can we close this bug?
The Akonadi Google Resource is working fine for me with ToDos and Calendars
under 4.9.2 with secondary Calendars too.

[Bug 309946] New: KMail forgets reply or forward status in mails

2012-11-11 Thread Thomas Fischer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=309946

Bug ID: 309946
  Severity: normal
   Version: 4.9.3
  Priority: NOR
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
Summary: KMail forgets reply or forward status in mails
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: fisc...@unix-ag.uni-kl.de
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED

When replying to or forwarding emails, KMail does not properly set the status
for this mail. A small reply or forward icon is set as an overlay on the
mail's icon directly after sending the forward/reply, but this icon gets
cleared as soon as one changes the mail folder.
In the mail's source view, there is neither a status, nor a x-status set.
Below, this is the header of a sent mail which was a reply to another mail:
