Created new akonadi-resources in KDE to sync with google, no problems detected,
except that I see two times 'my Contacts' in Kaddressbook
(seehttps://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=305804) . Can anyone reconfirm?

[kmail2] [Bug 315363] New: ctrl-M does not hide menu (which disappeared for unknown reason)

2013-02-18 Thread jos poortvliet
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=315363

Bug ID: 315363
Summary: ctrl-M does not hide menu (which disappeared for
unknown reason)
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.10.0
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: CONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: UI
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: jospoortvl...@gmail.com

Most KDE apps can hide the menu on ctrl-M, this is not available in KMail. It
IS possible to hide the menu, as I discovered today: for some weird reason, the
menu had disappeared and I was unable to get it back. I had to open kmail2rc
and remove the line MenuBar=Disabled from it to get the menu back.

I could not reproduce this issue but it might have to do with the new oxygen
option to move the menu to the window decoration (which I've experimented
with)?

In any case, ctrl-M should work in case this becomes an issue. Also, several
applications have a 'show menu bar' item in the right-mouse-click menu on the
toolbar when the menu is hidden. I think that makes a lot of sense and would
like to see that, too.

Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce

[kmail2] [Bug 315364] New: KMail2 session management does not restore view windows and forgets location of edit windows

2013-02-18 Thread jos poortvliet
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=315364

Bug ID: 315364
Summary: KMail2 session management does not restore view
windows and forgets location of edit windows
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.10.0
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: CONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: UI
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: jospoortvl...@gmail.com

Title says it all: KMail always opens all previously open mail editors on the
desktop and screen I start it on, instead of on the desktops these mails were
on when it was closed.

Related problem: open mails for viewing and log out. They will NOT be restored,
only edit windows.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open KMail
2. open some mail editors (with reply)
3. open some mails by double clicking
4. exclude kmail from session management in system settings - startup and
shutdown - session management
5. log out
6. log in again
7. start kmail
Actual Results:
all edit windows open on current desktop and screen, viewing windows do not
open at all.

Expected Results:
All edit and viewing windows open on the desktop(s) and screen(s) they were on
when you logged out.

--- Comment #1 from Dan Vrátil dvra...@redhat.com ---
Google Drive is a filesystem-like service, therefore it should be implemented
as a KIO slave, not as an Akonadi resource.

But first we need implementation of Drive API in LibKGAPI, then we can start
writing the KIO slave, hence I reassigned the bug changed it's title :)

There has been an effort to implement the API in LibKGAPI (there's even a
branch in LibKGAPI), but I haven't seen any activity in a while and I've never
reviewed the code. I'll try to get in touch with the author again and see
what's status on this.

You can import and export feeds. (File- export)
This makes a backup of all your feeds. If you only want to share a selection,
edit the text file and remove the feeds you don't want. It's just some simple
xml.

Please reopen if I misunderstood the request.

2013-02-18 Thread Brad DeRider

Bug ID: 315385
Summary: With Load the full website when reading articles
checked for the particular feed, when you switch from
one article to another, the position down the page
in the internal browser does not reset to the top
position.
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: akregator
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: internal browser
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: in.texa...@gmail.com

Akregator
Version 4.8.5
Using KDE Development Platform 4.8.5 (4.8.5)

With Load the full website when reading articles checked for the particular
feed, when you switch from one article to another, the position down the page
in the internal browser does not reset to the top position.

While some might argue this is a feature request, it is actually a bug. Because
the internal browser still is a browser, I would not expect a browser to be
scrolled to the bottom of the page when a page initially loads.

So, to be more specific. When I have the full website loaded into the preview
pane below the list of articles for the selected feed, I can scroll down
through the loaded webpage. When I click on another article above the preview
pane within the list of articles, it loads the full website for that article.
However, it does not reset the scroll position to the top of the website.

CORRECT/EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: Reset the scroll position to the top of the page
when loading a new page.
CURRENT BEHAVIOR: The scroll position of the next page loaded is scrolled down
to where it was the last web page.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add a feed to akregator
2. Right click on feed and select edit properties
3. In the Advanced tab ensure that the checkbox for Load the full website
when reading articles is checked.
4. Click OK.
5. Click Fetch All Feeds (note, ensure that you select a feed that has
articles that will load AND that has long enough articles that require a
scroll bar).
6. Click on an article within that feed and wait for the full page to load.
7. Scroll down to the bottom of the page (ENSURE THAT IT SCROLLS SO THE TOP OF
THE PAGE IS NOT VISIBLE IN THE PREVIEW PANE AKA INTERNAL BROWSER)
7. Click on another article within that feed and wait for the full page to
load.
8. NOTE that the new website that is loaded in the preview pane (aka internal
browser) is not at the top of the page
Actual Results:
The website loaded in the preview pane/internal browser will be scrolled down
as far as it was in the last website loaded.

Expected Results:
The website, when freshly loaded, should be scrolled to the very top of the
page.

Please note that I am using Linux 3.2.0-37-generic (Kubuntu 12.04 LTS), KDE SC
Version 4.8.5. This shouldn't be relevant. The Akgregator version is listed as
4.8.5 as well. This may be relevant if this is something that has been changed
in a more recent version.

Very odd, I haven't launched KMail in a long time, waiting for KMail2 to be
more stable. This morning just now, out of nowhere, I got this KMail crash
report. I don't know what started it or for how long it's been running.

Close this if it's of no use, thanks.

Hi, thank you for the detailed report.

I cannot confirm this bug. Not sure what's wrong, this bug was fixed a long
time ago. (bug#83187)

Does this happen with every feed?

Maarten,

It happens when you change from one article within the same feed to another
(switching feeds resets the position).

Yes, it is certain feeds. CNN feeds seem to reset the position while BBC
feeds do not. Most A KDE Feed Reader, Akregator, Version 4.8.5,

...for some addresses, it does even stranger things. E.g. I received an email
with CC to (changing the name here, but something like) Cc:
James.TheSecond@Good-Old.England - the Email address is in my addressbook. The
filter automatically added a new contact with just the name TheSecond and
nothing else.

[kontact] [Bug 315411] New: [Idea::Wish] Add a button with a drop-down menu to select Kontact modules

2013-02-18 Thread Martín Cigorraga
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=315411

Bug ID: 315411
Summary: [Idea::Wish] Add a button with a drop-down menu to
select Kontact modules
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kontact
   Version: 4.10.0
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: m...@archlinux.us

While my laptop's screen's big (17.1) I often found that I could use a little
extra space for some of the Kontact modules, for example Akregator and KMail.

Idea:
a button labeled Kontact or Modules (with the Kontact/Summary icon) could
provide a drop-down menu to easily and swiftly change between Kontact's
modules.

Usability: this way I could add the button to the toolbar and finally hide the
modules bar (sorry, don't know how it's named), gaining this way some extra
precious space.

Reproducible: Always

I can confirm when using the bbc feeds.
Very strange, maybe the site is using some funky javascript that does this.

It is also some sites. The bbc nature one scrolls to the top.

Akregator is changing the dates of some of the Linux.com articles to 11/29/99
timed either at 5:59PM or 6:00PM. This is only articles from LIniux.com and
not every article from the same author is having the dates changed.

I checked the linux.com feed page, and the article dates are correct there.

2013-02-18 Thread Christian
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=315319

--- Comment #3 from Christian joulupukin.ton...@yandex.ru ---
Another observation on the cases when the filter adds a new contact with only a
name, not an email address. This seems to happen when the Display name in the
email shows with a comma. E.g., if the following is not in the address book,
two contacts are added.
(Email:)
To: Miller, Mike [KING] mike.mil...@king.royalty.org
mike.mil...@king.royalty.org
(Address book:)
- Adds one contact: Mike [KING] with email address as above
- Adds another contact: Miller with nothing else

I think this should have added one contact with the email address and then
everything else as the name. (Maybe the email address for that new contact
should be shown in the name as well, because according to that To: string the
name is Miller, Mike [KING] mike.mil...@king.royalty.org.
