Not easy to support all feature.

2013-07-30 Thread Guillaume Castagnino
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=316541

--- Comment #16 from Guillaume Castagnino ca...@xwing.info ---
(In reply to comment #13)
The traffic (and related CPU use) is caused by bug #316840. It usually
starts after some time (~30 minutes). Known workaround is to set automatic
mail check interval to be less than the go-crazy interval, or to disable SSL
 completely.

Yes indeed !
Thanks for pointing this.

It seems that switching from IMAPS to IMAP + STARTTLS fixes this. the issue has
vanished since 2 days when I changed the setting.

It turned out to be not just kmail but any software which used qtwebkit.
Login-logout fixed nothing, but the problem disappeared after reboot.
It might be related to software upgrade - I'm not sure.

If upstream decide they already fix it. Everybody think it's fixed, And it's
not the case actually.
Downgrading to 4.8.4 will be soon a non option do normal users.

I would have kept the open status just to be sure to track down any change on
upstream.

I had just enabled kwallet for the first time on my computer and was in the
middle of setting passwords for all of my accounts when the folder structure
disappeared from view in kmail. I moved my kmail folders to a temp location and
imported the content only to have kmail throw it all away again. I emptied my
local-mail again and re-imported. this recovered my emails and folders
structure BUT NOW KMAIL WILL NOT STORE MY EMAIL IN FOLDERS WITH MBOX FILES. CAN
I FORCE KMAIL TO STORE MY EMAIL IN FILES LIKE THE DAYS OF OLD??

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. I lost my folders twice in an hour but was not able to reproduce the problem
on demand
2.
3.
