When decrypting a message in KMail, I am asked twice to enter the password, but
I do not see why (and it makes me wary - does it decrypt for two different
services, only one under my control?).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. click on encrypted message
2.
3.
Actual Results:
message shows as encrypted.
I am asked twice to enter my gnupg password.

Expected Results:
message shows as encrypted.
I am asked once to enter my gnupg password or I get information why I am asked
twice.

So in summary each new addressbook is disable by default that's it ?
and you want that we enable it ?
I'm not the original reporter, but that's exactly what I think should be done.

Please note that also the default addressbook (created by Akonadi FirstRun) has
to be enabled before being able to store any contact, which can be _very_
confusing for a new user IMHO.

And the same also applies to the calendars (in KOrganizer), it's not restricted
to the addressbooks.

[Akonadi] [Bug 327363] New: GroupDav Ressource cannot have card collection and cal collection with the same name

2013-11-09 Thread Stefan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=327363

Bug ID: 327363
Summary: GroupDav Ressource cannot have card collection and cal
collection with the same name
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: 4.11
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: DAV Resource
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: ste...@familie-speckmann.de

It's KDE/Kontact 4.11.2 as included in Kubuntu official release 13.10.

I have an Owncloud server with an adressbook and a calender that have the same
name Familie Speckmann. They cannot be added in one GrouDav-Ressource to
Akonadi.

When I setup the ressource I can add both CardDav and CalDav and all
collections are displayed in the config dialog. After closing this window the
ressource is created without warning, but neither the calender or adressbook
collections are displayed in KAdressbook/KOrganizer.

In Akonadi Console debug modus I get:
AgentBase(akonadi_davgroupware_resource_4): Could not create collection Familie
Speckmann resourceId: 24 and the whole thing is rolled back and none of the
included collections are displayed.

When I set up a GroupDav resource with CalDav collections only I get
NotificationManager::notify ( Collections
((898,https://cloud.xxx.com/remote.php/caldav/calendars/stefan.speckmann/familiespeckmann/))
in collection 897 added ) and all calender collections are created properly.

When I later change the configuration and add the CardDav ressources to the
SAME GroupDav ressource I get
AgentBase(akonadi_davgroupware_resource_5): Could not create collection Familie
Speckmann resourceId: 25
and there are no adressbooks but all previous added calenders are working.

When I now create another GroupDav ressource with only the card collections
everything works fine:
NotificationManager::notify ( Collections
((904,akonadi_davgroupware_resource_6)) in collection 0 added )
NotificationManager::notify ( Collections
((905,https://cloud.xxx.com/remote.php/carddav/addressbooks/stefan.speckmann/familie_speckmann/))
in collection 904 added )

I described the bug and a workaround but the problem is that there is no hint
what the reason is because the rollback is not visible as any UI message - only
in akonadi-server.error it says
Error during executing query INSERT INTO CollectionTable (remoteId,
remoteRevision, name, parentId, resourceId, cachePolicyInherit, isVirtual)
VALUES (:0, :1, :2, :3, :4, :5, :6) : Duplicate entry '897-Familie
Speckmann' for key 'CollectionTable_parentAndNameIndex' QMYSQL3: Unable to
execute statement

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a GroupDav server with a calender and an adressbook with the same
name
2. Create a GroupDav ressource in Akonadi and add both CardDav and CalDav
collections to the ressource
3. Klick ok and observe the log and/or debug console
Actual Results:
none of the cal- and card collections are added because the whole transaction
is rolled back

Expected Results:
all of the cal- and card collections are added because the type of collection
should be part of the key

[Akonadi] [Bug 327370] New: CalDAV / ownCloud reminders not showing on login if the machine was off at the start time.

2013-11-09 Thread Paul
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=327370

Bug ID: 327370
Summary: CalDAV / ownCloud reminders not showing on login if
the machine was off at the start time.
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: 4.11
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: DAV Resource
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: par...@juggling.org.uk

Using only a CalDAV (ownCloud) based calendar, reminders only show if they
trigger whilst the machine is on.

If the reminder trigger time is when the machine is off, then no reminder is
displayed upon next login e.g. all day reminders would trigger at midnight.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a future new event, e.g. 15 mins time, in ownCloud calendar using
korganizer with reminder 10 mins before. Verify event is sync'd with ownCloud
via web.
2. Shutdown machine and wait 10 minutes.
3. Login.
Actual Results:
No reminder is displayed for event.

Expected Results:
The reminder, although past, should be dispalyed.

Bug 282535 details the same problem but was fixed for non-CalDAV resources. The
final comment suggesting that this was a bug with Akonadi.

As I can find no record of another bug being logged, and the problem still
exists, I'm raising this one.

Tested with various ownCloud versions, currently on 5.0.13.

Using KDE 4.11.3 though this issue was present in 4.10 and probably before.

I have two kde machines, one 32bit the other 64, both have the same problem.

[kmail2] [Bug 327380] New: Kmail shows: N unread messages, but they absent in messages list

2013-11-09 Thread Eugene
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=327380

Bug ID: 327380
Summary: Kmail shows: N unread messages, but they absent in
messages list
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.11.3
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: message list
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: johnba...@gmail.com

Somtimes, after general fetching new mail process, Kmail2 shows me, that has
several unread messages (in left part of kmail windows in inbox folder), but in
messages lists they absent :(.
If I restart akonadi process, then unread messages emerge in messages list.
This problem exist for me ~ 6 months

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Check new emails
2. Inbox folder has several unread messages
3. But in message list they absent
4. After restart akonadi, unread messages emerge in messages list
Actual Results:
Sometimes messages list doesn't contain unread (new) messages after check
emails

Expected Results:
messages list MUST ALWAYS contains unread (new) messages after check emails,
if they exists

korganizer (4.10.5) on KDE Platform 4.10.5 using Qt 4.8.4

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
when I opened another calendar in korganizer, started acting slow and deleted
all of the entries in the new calandar. I did attach an .odt to one entry.

[kdepimlibs] [Bug 327384] New: Contact editing dialogs case fold e-mail adresses toLower

2013-11-09 Thread Johannes Mueller
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=327384

Bug ID: 327384
Summary: Contact editing dialogs case fold e-mail adresses
toLower
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kdepimlibs
   Version: 4.11.2
  Platform: unspecified
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: akonadi
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: joh...@users.sourceforge.net

When editing an e-mail address the e-mail addresses are case folded to lower,
i.e. john@example.com is transformed to john@example.com.

RFC 2821 (http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2821.txt) says about this:
The local-part of a mailbox MUST BE treated as case sensitive.

This causes problems for example, when KMail is looking up from-addresses from
emails in the addressbook in order to display the picture of the sender. If the
from-address contains capitals the lookup fails.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start KAddressBook
2. Edit or create a contact
3. Add or change an e-mail address so that it contains capital letters
4. Click OK
Actual Results:
The e-mail address is transformed to lower case.

Expected Results:
Either: The e-mail address should *not* be transformed to lower case but remain
as typed in.
Or: The local-part of the e-mail address remains as typed in, the domain can be
case folded to lower.
