[kmail2] [Bug 331156] New: Display of HTML-Message extremely slow
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331156 Bug ID: 331156 Summary: Display of HTML-Message extremely slow Classification: Unclassified Product: kmail2 Version: 4.12.2 Platform: unspecified OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: axel.br...@gmx.de I run KDE 4.12.2 on ThinkPad T520 (core-i7), OS: openSUSE 13.1 (x86_64) with 8GB RAM and a 1 TB SSD - so in general a quick system. But displaying a HTML mail takes about 5-8 seconds until it displays (not even loading external references and pictures). I switched Nepomuk EMail-Indexing off, but the result remains the same. This is quite annoying Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. display a HTML mail 2. 3. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[kmail2] [Bug 331022] Copy/paste table selections from libreoffice fails more often than not
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331022 --- Comment #3 from Hans-Peter Jansen h...@urpla.net --- Dear Laurent, thanks for caring. I forgot to mention, that the result looks always fine in composer, but when you send the mail to yourself and display the received mail, it shows above mentioned deficits. It happens more often, when I include pastes of several (complex) tables into one mail, and the issue arises often only for a subset of included pictures. Let me know, if this helped you to reproduce this. If not, I can offer you to send you some samples directly. It seems to happen for complex tables much more often, but for the table in question, you must keep that private. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Akonadi] [Bug 331165] New: autostart fails
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331165 Bug ID: 331165 Summary: autostart fails Classification: Unclassified Product: Akonadi Version: 4.11 Platform: Debian testing OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: tho...@thomaszander.se Following the userbase suggestion on http://userbase.kde.org/Akonadi#Disabling_the_Akonadi_subsystem and changing StartServer=false I start kmail and it fails to start akonadi. Seems that the boolean not only disables start on login, it also disables autostart. Note that the error dialog kmail puts up is very unhelpful (the one with a list of very technical gibberish). [Akonadi] [Bug 331166] New: akonadi messes up password management.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331166 Bug ID: 331166 Summary: akonadi messes up password management. Classification: Unclassified Product: Akonadi Version: 4.11 Platform: unspecified OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: tho...@thomaszander.se After running kmail, and subsequently quitting it I get a kwallet password dialog shown stating that the imap process wants to access my wallet. The fun thing is, if I enter my password then half an hour later (the timeout of my wallet auto-closing) I get the same popup again. I expected the imap process to only ask for a password once and keep it for the lifetime of the akonadi server. [Akonadi] [Bug 331168] New: account interval checking not honoured
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331168 Bug ID: 331168 Summary: account interval checking not honoured Classification: Unclassified Product: Akonadi Version: 4.11 Platform: unspecified OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: tho...@thomaszander.se An account that has been added in KMail to only check on manual check still triggers a password dialog from kwallet. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add a new account in kmail. I used a plain IMAP account. 2. Make sure that the interval checking is turned off. 3. Make sure that the account is NOT offline while kmail quits. 4. Quit kmail. 5. Close your wallet and wait. 6. It takes me half an hour or so and I get a kwallet dialog asking for my password. The application that wants it has the name of my account and the word IMAP in it. Expected Results: I expected akonadi to treat an account that has no interval checking identical to an account that is offline while kmail is not running and subsequently not do anything, including asking for a kwallet password. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[kmail2] [Bug 331169] New: account Retrieval options has bad default and weird UI location.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331169 Bug ID: 331169 Summary: account Retrieval options has bad default and weird UI location. Classification: Unclassified Product: kmail2 Version: 4.11.3 Platform: Debian testing OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: UI Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: tho...@thomaszander.se If you go to the KMail settings dialog, to the Accounts tab you can find a Retrieval Options button on each account. For at least an IMAP account you have a Switch offline at kmail shutdown which is checked by default on creating a new account. This is a strange default setting, a user like me that uses kmail for reading email and nothing else is going to get really confused that closing the email application still makes things happen. Doing network access and sending an password over the current internet connection is really not expected. For instance if I want to check my email at home I might be Ok with no encryption, but if my laptop does the same if I'm at a internet cafe, this is very dangerous. I feel that the default should be that only when running kmail will an account be checked. Otherwise the account should be offline. I would like to add that placing the retrieval in a popup that magically appears when you press a button is very unexpected. I found it because I was pointed to it on IRC. Otherwise I would never have found these options. Maybe not the best place to invent new interaction types ;) Reproducible: Always -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[kmail2] [Bug 331170] New: KMail quits but never dies
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331170 Bug ID: 331170 Summary: KMail quits but never dies Classification: Unclassified Product: kmail2 Version: 4.11.3 Platform: unspecified OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: tho...@thomaszander.se When akonadi fails to auto-start when kmail starts, I can quit kmail and the window disappears, but the process stays visible in the System activity manager until I manually kill it. Using bug #331165 I can easily trigger kmail not starting akonadi and showing the details... button on top of everything. When I close the window using the window-manager decoration close button, kmail goes away. Starting kmail again immediately makes it go back to the screen that was there when I quit it. Showing that it never died. Only when I manually kill kmail does it disappear from the task list.
