[Akonadi] [Bug 352779] Akonadi significantly slow down the login process.

--- Comment #8 from raphael.cazen...@gmail.com ---
@Godlike, @'Marc Cousin',
did you try 'StartServer=false' in ~/.config/akonadi/akonadiserverrc (like
the default configuration in openSUSE) ?

Same here, but with an almost empty akonadi configuration… all mail is done

[Akonadi] [Bug 356008] Unable to spawn mysqld server with mariadb 10.1

2015-11-29 Thread Guillaume DE BURE via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356008

--- Comment #6 from Guillaume DE BURE ---
ps aux | grep mysqld

/usr/bin/mysqld --defaults-file=/home/guillaume/.local/share/akonadi/mysql.conf
--datadir=/home/guillaume/.local/share/akonadi/db_data/
--socket=/tmp/akonadi-guillaume.xVlx6G/mysql.socket

I have to add that I did a few things before deleting /.local/share/akonadi :
chown mysql:mysql /var/lib/mysql -R (there were indeed some permission issues)
mysql_upgrade
(both commands issued after reading the very excellent archlinux wiki on mysql
troubleshooting : https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/MySQL#Troubleshooting)

Maybe it is the combination of the three actions that solved it for me ?

I must confirm this issue :-(
Pressing "new mail" crashes kmail.
See also attached log file and screenshot for system informations.

kubuntu was upgraded from 15.04 to 15.10 before. Since that the issue appears.
Sometimes it's possible to create a new email.

Remark: There was installed hunspell-de-de all the time.

[kmail2] [Bug 356093] New: Kmail does not display PGP/Inline signed mails

2015-11-29 Thread Marcus Behrendt via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356093

Bug ID: 356093
   Summary: Kmail does not display PGP/Inline signed mails
   Product: kmail2
   Version: Git (master)
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: composer
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: marcus.behrendt...@gmail.com

I am using kde-unstable/kmail 15.11.80-2 from Arch Linux.
With this new version I am not able to view PGP/Inline signed mails any more.
The mail is just empty and kmail's cpu usage is very high.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Receive a PGP/Inline signed mail
2. Try to open that mail with kmail

Actual Results:
The received mail is just empty and kmail's cpu usage is high

Expected Results:
I can read the mail

[Akonadi] [Bug 352779] Akonadi significantly slow down the login process.

2015-11-29 Thread godlike via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=352779

--- Comment #9 from godlike  ---
@raphael.cazenave it did not matter much, but I did notice the slowing down to
be almost gone since I've switched from mysql to postgres, with a full fledged
DB (no embedded one).

There's some serious breakage though with the config file. It appears changed
don't get saved from the akonadi settings interface to the akonadiserverrc file
properly. Sometimes the [%General] section gets written twice (once for the old
value, once for the new one), but I gather that's material for a new bug.

[Akonadi] [Bug 356008] Unable to spawn mysqld server with mariadb 10.1

2015-11-29 Thread Guillaume DE BURE via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356008

--- Comment #4 from Guillaume DE BURE ---
Nope, my backend is still mysql, I did not change my ~/.config/akonadiserverrc
:

[Debug]
Tracer=null

[%General]
Driver=QMYSQL

[QMYSQL]
Host=
Name=akonadi
Options="UNIX_SOCKET=/tmp/akonadi-guillaume.xVlx6G/mysql.socket"
ServerPath=/usr/bin/mysqld
StartServer=true

But I agree there must be a more elegant solution than removing the entire
akonadi folder, as this means (in my case) resynchronisation of my whole imap
accounts

I did not find any evidence of --defaults-file being dropped, I can only
assume.
By removing the whole configuration of akonadi you probably reverted to another
DB backend like sqlite but it is not a solution.

I tried this earlier and it did not change anything for me.
Can you "ps aux | grep mysqld" and give the command line invocation of mysqld
please?
Make sure to wait a bit after startup of akonadi as the several retries may
skew the test.

[kmail2] [Bug 356075] New: Kmail:Failed to transport message. Unable to create SMTP job

2015-11-29 Thread Sébastien POHER via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356075

Bug ID: 356075
   Summary: Kmail:Failed to transport message. Unable to create
SMTP job
   Product: kmail2
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
   URL: http://pix.toile-libre.org/?img=1448801332.png][img]ht
tp://pix.toile-libre.org/upload/img/1448801332.png
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: sb...@volted.net

I encounter a problem in kdepim 15.08.3-1:
kmail (used as standalone or as a Kontact component) is unable to send mail via
SMTP.
I am sure of the SMTP settings, I've tried with 2 different servers.
Both server needs authentication and use TLS or SSL through port 465 or 587 (it
fails in any case).
akonadi_maildispatcher_agent is up and running, stopping and restarting it has
no effect.

Here is the Akonadi Console Debugger output when I send a message (see below)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Configure your SMTP server
2. Compose an email
3. Send it

Actual Results:
Sending mail fails, a notification appears saying that :
Kmail:Failed to transport message. Unable to create SMTP job

Expected Results:
The email should have been sent.
On the same computer trying with another mail client and the same SMTP settings
works.

When this problem occurs I can "fix" it with "akonadictl restart" on konsole

But that's only a workaround and the problem should be handled automatically

Trying to restart akonadi server via control module doesn't work.
